Babies can be very picky and fussy. Many don't like being covered because they can't see mum, or because it gets too hot under there. Others just like to constantly grab at it and pull it off. Often times, it just becomes more of a hassle to use a blanket.

Then just cover the tit. It's not complicated. She's just incredibly lazy and they can't see their mom with their face in the tits anyway. Usually their eyes are closed.
