Blizzard doesn;t lie... they spin... and they are every bit as good at spinning as politicians are.

People are so gullible.

One thing is perfectly clear... WoW paved the way financially for the other franchises to be built... now the other games are carrying WoW.

Other franchises survive with 500k to 1 million subs just fine. Some on F2P models. I think you overestimate just how much it takes to keep this thing running versus the money they take in. Box sales alone will provide funding for another expansion and probably pay for salaries for a few years. Subs are just the gravy.

Destiny has micro transactions since 13th Oct 2015. It launched shortly after TTK. They are selling dances, emotes, shaders, transmog gear, char boosts, focus boosts, exp boosts and what not, AFAIK.

If maintenance cost of wow are so low, why did they rise box prices? Blizzard is such a joke company.

Value added increase. They give you a free boost valued at $60 and raise the price $10. Then again $49.99 is pretty cheap for any game today.

At any rate as long as legion is enjoyable for me don't care where sub numbers are.
