I would play tank DK, any rogue and probably Survival Hunter if they're anything like Rexxar.
Aside from raiding I care about soloing old content ability, I realise Blood DKs have been kings of this since forever but I'm curious how good/bad are rogues and hunters be at it.

Blood DK would be far and away the best for soloing old content - Rogue would be the worst. Other hunter specs besides survival, particularly BM, would probably be better than it at that too, but it'd probably still fare better than rogue either way.
You are probably better off making this choice based on what you would most prefer to raid with, though.
