On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Bellingcat is an MI6/CIA cut out. Clyburn Truther.
A brain and maybe some common ground?
One thing I can't fathom about a lot of women is how they find men attractive that are utterly obsessed with sports, I mean day in and day out that's all they watch or think about. Even though the woman has zero interest. For me that would be an automatic, "Oh fuck no," because not only does it mean they're inherently BORING but place ultimate value on non-interactive, brain-dead shit.

Can't the same be said about Gamers? I eat breath and dream of video games, but my SO and I have been together 8 years. She isn't interested in video games, but she lives with it, because we love each other. She knew about my obsession since day one. Hasn't been an issue yet.

Nothing wrong with gaming and literature. Those help keep you sharp. Educated would also be a desire of mine, not just educated exactly but something of a thinker, as I don't mind being challenged. In fact I believe I'd get bored if all the other person could see was the immediate.
As for sports, that's been my position on the matter. If I'm going to take a vested interest in them, it's because I want to play it - not just watch it. Only reason I could get myself to watch gaming championships and the likes is to up my own skill and give me new ideas. Then it actually becomes fun for this reason. I find that many sports lovers tend to have this bizarre ass knack for living vicariously through others.
Honestly, I often wonder how or why I was born into the family and area that I was. A lot of what I complain about is through direct interaction with these things. I'm extremely liberal in a lot of ways. Started out as conservative as you might have guessed but as the years slip by, I lean more and more towards liberal and progressive concepts. Of course, I don't accept them in their entirety and never stop questioning - y'know, that paranoia and skepticism I talked about earlier. I feel out of place, especially when the only other more liberally-minded individual in my family has an overly active victim-complex - in other words, went to one of the dark corners of the spectrum.
Yay for being lonely in every way except in the most literal sense of the term.
As for your notation of similarities not being a must or potentially even a negative, I agree to a point. You don't want to be carbon copies of one another but you also don't want to be so radically different that you rarely if ever see eye-to-eye on anything nor have little to share with one another; which I see so often followed by the, "Well, opposites do attract!" bullshit mantra that's acts merely as an excuse to try and see past how fucked a relationship is.

That's why you find a gamer but at least with them there is a VARIETY of product to choose from that appeal to many different people. They're also often stimulating and interactive, which puts it far above sitting there on your ass, vested into an arbitrary team that ultimately gives zero fucks about your existence and that you have zero control over.
...I'm an angry person.
I'm with you on the sports thing. I find watching sports to be a pretty "zombie-ish" activity.

I commented on your post which states: "Who wants to be a grumpy old man with no family or joy in their life?"
With the reply of: "There is far more to life than having a family. There are people in the world who you can enjoy spending time with, who are not family."
And you reply with: "Look at all the successful men in the world"
Apples and Oranges man. Financial Success =/= Happiness. It can contribute to happiness, but it is not all that makes people happy.

Divorce is on a decline. People don't marry until they've lived together for a while, and I think even children can come before marriage now. If they can survive that, they have a good chance.
Mother pus bucket!
I'm curious Tennisdanmachi, are you married?
I'm only asking because you seem to have a lot of expectations of what women should do.
Some people watch programs focusing on crime on TV too much and are afraid to walk out of their house out of fear of being robbed. Such people have always existed; I wouldn't take this tendency seriously.
^ This. Millennials are the poorest generation in US/Can, since the great depression. They aren't doing things because they're still in recession levels of unemployment and underemployment.
We see articles asking why millennials prefer to rent rather than buy property.
- Are we all transient bohemians? No, it's because we don't have money.
Articles on why we prefer carshare services rather than buying cars.
- Are millennials a bunch of socialist commies? No, it's because we don't have money.
Articles on why we aren't starting families
- Maybe we're all brazen sluts? No, it's because we don't have money.
Articles on why millennials travel less, backpack more, etc
- Perhaps we're just very job-focused and enjoy the extra exercise? No, because we don't have money.
Articles on why we save a higher proportion of our income than any generation since the Silent Generation.
- Is it an evil plot by the young to usurp power; are we all saving to elect Bernie Sanders next cycle? No, it's because depression survivors retain a lifelong fear of future financial uncertainty.
Pretty much no matter what the headline about millennials you read is, and what goofy explanation they come up with - if you substitute in "because they don't have money" - the problem tends to be much more clear.
That doesn't mean all millennials are poor, I'm doing very well lately, but as a demographic - people my age are not experiencing the prosperity the last few generations experienced.

Average cost for a house in NJ is $300,000. That is about a $60,000 down payment if you want to avoid paying a PMI tax. It is insane!
Articles on why we prefer carshare services rather than buying cars - because we don't have money.
On this one, I feel it depends on what you can afford, but in general I have been finding people ditching their cars for other means of transportation due to the costs. Again, that pesky down payment. (Or you can risk a private seller, and potentially have a car that dies 3 months later.)
Articles on why we aren't starting families - because we don't have money.
So many young folks have no clue how expensive children are. I have seen it first hand, and i've seen what happens when you raise a kid without the money to treat them well. The kid grows up to resent their parents for all the missed opportunities.
Articles on why millennials travel less, backpack more, etc - because we don't have money.
I have never left the country, Never been on a plane, and hardly have left the tri-state area. It costs too much!

That study has tons of loose correlation leading into unsupported assertions.
