RATE THE CHARACTER/10 - SEASON 1 POST-GAME TOPIC!

AKA: We Really Need A Better Name For It: The Game!

- So, the day has come!
- Welcome, players, friends, and players who became friends, to the post-season topic of Rate the Character/10: Season 1!
- We rated 101 characters together over the span of 102 days, but you already know that.
- Today, for now, for the last time, we do some cool stuff together to celebrate the end of Season 1.
- We also discuss some of the potential rules and aspects of Season 2 from Rate the Character/10, like nominations and... things.
- As well as addressing the obvious about when do you guys prefer Season 2 to start, which will be handled in the poll!
- Perhaps also some trivia down the line? Or Statistics? Like most voted, least voted, first nominated...?
- Another look at the Final Tier List? The Season 2 qualified characters?
- We can also use this topic to post whatever comes to our minds. Character screenshots. Fanfics. Comics. Show me all you've got!
- Also, bikini pictures of female characters from World of Warcraft are allowed, because, you see, ... why not. Go pervert; knock yourselves out.
- Actually, in pertain of above, bikini picture aren't only allowed, but also so very welcome.

Season 2 Nominations Potential Rule Changes:

- A character will initially need 10 votes to qualify, but will last for 5 days now on the roster (up again from 3), with the penalty (!) reset rules being the same.
- A new gimmick will be introduced for SPECIAL Days, when a character from Season 1 can be re-tiered!
- The potentially re-tiered characters will only require 5 nominations, and there is no penalty.
- Re-tiered characters will be kept on a separate list, never to drop until they attain 5 votes.

on side note consider making a "rating game" for Zones / Artifacts / cities, because I believe that "char season 2" will cover up most of the rest important char in the lore.

Ha...! I voted 7.4 personally for the same reason; that being probably the last tier of content in Legion, and we know how Blizzard is good at making the last content patch in any given expansion somewhat extremely long.

Part of the reason why I enjoyed running Season 1 was the content drought.

I actually kind of like the idea behind tiering the Artifacts one of these days, considering their backgrounds. One thing at a time though! We will see.

Guys, please give me your opinions regarding the changes in the nominations rules, especially the new gimmick about revoting a Season 1 character on SPECIAL Days.

Thanks Kalec! Rarely posted, but I enjoyed keeping up with it.

I second (third?) the idea of Artifact voting. They have more personality and history than some of the characters that we voted on, so it stands to reason.

I'd say have each of the top10 characters return every 10th day, without nomination, and let's see how they rank against the characters from season 2. In a random order if you want to keep it a surprise.

Actually, this is a very valid concern. I want to take it into consideration. How to handle it better then? Give them the 5 penalty systems?

As for the randomness vs. nomination, I want to strike some balance, so I will let people nominate who they want to re-vote, while I will randomize said character in case we don't have a nominated one yet. Example: First special day arrives, and we have Uther at 4/5. I will redo Thrall for example, just because we don't have Uther. If by next speical days Uther qualified, then we re-do Uther.
