Yeah, but only if they were truly solo and required some skill. No NPCs, just you.
Then it isn't in my opinion a dungeon, but something else entirely.
More a scenario, because there isn't the traditional boss progression.
So it isn't just a case of altering what we have, not least because of the change in the group composition.
Effectively having to design at least 3 fights for each encounter.
It would be a lot of work.
Between the 3 roles, plus melee vs ranged, and potentially different tools that each bring.
Its an MMO, deal with it, go play something else if u hate people

well game only feels like a mmorpg one day every 2 years anyway , so why not
I'd rather solo dungeons stick to older dungeons, those that have already been through the ringer for awhile.
Whenever NPC's get involved, there becomes a way to exploit them, undetected, with no human witnesses. Example: get NPC stuck in an object and let it fight without taking damage. Example: mechanics to warp NPC to a new location, say the end boss, defeat it, then have PC travel through dungeon to inspect carcass for loot.
It's not a new idea to have NPC's. But the AI coding will almost always have bugs. Some bugs might make the dungeon inoperable, if, say, the NPC disappears to an area you can never get to. If can also be really frustrating to have NPC's just run around and attack whatever, whoever, making every fight designed to be simple, instead of being challenging and orchestrated to perfection.
Other games have tried this. SWTOR was one mentioned. Specifically escort / assist missions - riddled with bugs. Bugs EVERYWHERE! Otherwise, it's not a good idea, and definitely not MMORPG friendly.
IF, however you meant for a dungeon YOU can solo without aide, AION did it OK. Pulls were tricky as expected, but it was decent, new solo dungeons opening to your level were challenging. Once a strategy was devised, it could be run every so often ... a couple times per day I believe, or less, depending on level & rewards -- or unlimited if you either bought a time refresher from the AH, or you spent hard cash via the cash shop. I found currency easy to obtain so I never used the cash-shop.
So, I guess - meh. NPC's have too many issues.
Or just play at launch, when people are still dying in heroics. Slow enough for story line, without sheltering people who want to play a mmo, but without the mm part.

Oh, those have been ACTUAL players all these years? Woe, the horrible things I was doing and saying to those "NPC's". Oh, how many I caused to stop playing the game. Literally.
Why would I pay $15/month to play a bad single player game?
I can play numerous GOOD ones without a monthly sub.
Solo scenarios like on the Thunder isle? Yes. Solo boss fights like the warlock green fire boss? Yes. Dungeons with all npc-crew? Hell no.
I've been saying for years that I'd love a system added to the game to allow solo trips through dungeons to experience them for real. No achievements allowed through the system, mind you, but have it be an option when you enter so you can either get normal loot/'cheevs if you're above the dungeon, or get the experience if you need/want the help.
To be honest, I do like the sound of that. From a personal perspective, it suits me nicely.
However, I don't believe that it would be healthy for the game as a whole, so I don't think Blizzard should implement it.
No, the game needs to add more forced group content not less.
Sure. They have that in SWTOR. So long as blizzard doesn't do what bioware did with SoR and make half the levelling content dungeons I'll be happy.
The less forced group content the better.
Times change, deal with it. Go play pong if you want a game that never evolves
Brawler's guild is single player content that you could do with a lot of people. It might amaze you to know that people talk to other people when doing Brawler's guild. Sometimes I offer advice , other times they offer me advice. Thus I am doing EXACTLY what I am supposed to be doing in a MMO. I am interacting.
I really wish you people would get it out of you heads that a MMO means every aspect of the game needs to involve a 40 man raid.

Since you seem intent on injecting Brawler's guild, lets hear about it? What is it? Some RPG guild?
You brought up 40-man raids. You just brought up Legacy! .. you are opposed to it, yet nobody even brought it up. Interesting.
I personally wish Legacy servers would happen, I actually liked large scale raiding, such as 40-man raids. Every raid really was an adventure, unto itself. I'm still waiting for Legacy .. but what about this Brawler's Guild? Tell, tell! Is it on Proudmoore? Is it 'leet?

40 man raids are still a thing, we don't need to go back at all. Or maybe you skipped Tarlna, Drov, Rukmur and Kazz and the 40 man Fishing raids. Or the 40 mans that were doing Pit, before they put a end to it.
I have no idea what point you're trying to make about Brawler's guild.
Aion had solo instances for the last 5+ years or so, and theyre all terrible T_T. if I wanted to play solo I would just play skyrim or something
