There's this rig I'm thinking of getting. Is it a good spec and is it worth it?

Alright so I'm coming into a bit of money in September, and I want to buy a badass PC, because a window of opportunity to buy one won't exist for a good number of years after. Therefore, I have built around the goal of futureproofing. This is the build I threw together. I would buy the parts myself but I feel like this website does it pretty cheap; it's PCSPECIALIST, a UK based company. Personally I would rather pay a bit more for build quality and customer support than trust myself with the whole thing.
I play all kinds of games intensively and I need a PC to reflect that while also providing what futureproofing I can, hence the beefy GPUs for example.
My questions are; Is the build WORTH the money, and is the spec itself good? I added speakers too so any people up on audio that might have an opinion on them feel free to comment.

Just a huge overkill. If you want futureproof you want LGA 2011 platform. Also, this PSU is not enough for GTX 1080 SLI.

Don't know how you managed to get this up to £4000

    4000 on a system with no X99 ?

Not a good reception for this build, guess it just shows how little I know about PCs. Could people expand please? Suggest alternatives?

Honestly, GTX 1080 SLI is next to worthless. Didnt add all the minor stuff, you can do that yourself. 780T is a pretty good case, especially for SLI and I guess you like the design, so keeping it.

Thanks for the build, but why is SLI 1080 next to worthless?

    1) Lack of multiGPU support in a multitude of games, some of the supported one still have issues; 2) Top dual card configuration really pushes PSU, especially with overclocking; 3) Performance/price ratio is very poor.

Mobo is bad, dont buy HyperX Predator and I'm not sure why the 6850K instead of 6800K, you're overpaying for nothing. Your GTX 1080 have to be specific models, if you get Founders Edition you'd waste a lot of money for nothing right there. Also, note that 128GB SSD will be considerably slower than 256GB counterparts.

a lot of this overkill....are you buying this prebuilt from a site?? if so, they are ripping you off.

buy the parts separately and build it yourself and most likely reduce the costs in half.

'For the CPU, I'd get the i7-6850k. I got the 6800k because I only needed 28 lanes, but you need 40 to accommodate the SLI, and the Samsung M.2. That way your storage and GPUs will all have dedicated PCI lanes, so both GPUs can run at x16, and the M.2 can run at the full 4x.

Switching to the Broadwell-E from Skylake will maximize your GPU performance, and the M.2 drive is a shitload faster than the SATA 850 from Samsung. At your budget, this shouldn't be an issue.'

Put a build of the same parts together on PCPARTPICKER and came up with a build only £100~ cheaper.

    - All this talk about X99 being more future-proof is bullshit. X99 is only better, if you need more than the 4 HT cores that the i7-6700k has to offer (which you do not for gaming). The current X99 cpus are actually build with Broadwell-E which is a generation behind the 6700k (Skylake). Per core, the 6700k is faster per clock and has a higher clock speed.

    - 32GB RAM is absolutely overkill. Even the newest hottest games don't need more than 8GB. So if you want to pinch some pennies, go for 16GB. But, ram is fairly cheap, so 32GB is not that bad.

    - Ditch SLI. It is just not worth it. Get a single GTX1080 and save yourself from a lot of hassle (more power hungry, limited support for games, glitches, etc.). As a follow up, you can also go a step down with the PSU (600W is more than enough for any single GPU system).

    - 128GB SSD is way to small. At least 250GB, better 500GB.
    - 1TB HDD for storage is also kinda "meh". If a 500GB SSD is too small, get at least a 2TB HDD, the price difference is minuscule.

    - Your speakers should be ok, but the Corsair SP2500 are generally considered the best around the price point.

    - The monitor i put in my list is just an alternative. It has only got 60Hz, but it is an 21:9 3440x1440 ultra wide.

Right, forgot you're running SLI. M.2 speed advantage doesnt really matter for gaming though.

@Biernot Thank you man, this was awesome, and I'll never argue with over a grand off my original build price.
Will a single 1080 definitely be enough for 1440p gaming?

it's a Z170 build (and a bad one too), which you can easily shed at least 800 euro off. But it has nothing in common with futureproofing.

It's pointless. They have no choice of motherboards, cant choose the model of the videocard, no choice of SSDs, etc. I can go on, but if you really want to get something worth your money you HAVE TO build yourself.

Sexy case as others have said just overkill. Why not start with just 1 1080 and get another one down the road when they drop in price?

    @White Spider Association

If I were to do this, how big should the PSU be?
