It's not a "fabricated" world... when it came to who police targeted New York stop and frisk showed that police clearly had a bias and targeted black and latinos. Whites were far more likely to have committed a crime when stopped, over black and latinos, this was because the whites stopped were suspicious while black and latinos were stopped just because they were profiled and in order to make quotas.

When it comes to drug charges, whites use more drugs, and deal more drugs, but they're not the ones who are most affected by drug laws despite this. Whites are a double majority here essentially, they make up the largest number of people, and they are over represented when it comes to drug use, yet when it comes to actual punishment regarding drug use and sales, they are underrepresented in that regard.

Even if specific cases are justified shootings there's still evidence that black communities are disproportionately policed in both DOJ reports of both Ferguson and Baltimore. Here's a snippet from th Baltimore report.

The investigation was spurred by the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man whose spine was severed in the back of a police van last April. In its 164-page report, the DOJ wrote that "BPD makes stops, searches and arrests without the required justification; uses enforcement strategies that unlawfully subject African Americans to disproportionate rates of stops, searches and arrests; uses excessive force; and retaliates against individuals for their constitutionally-protected expression."

If white communities in Texas were treated this way they'd be doing much worse than the riots we're seeing today.

64% of Baltimore is black and the majority of the BPD is black. So first of all, the odds that they're going to "unjustifiably" stop a black person is higher because the shear fact that the odds of them running into one is higher. Secondly, so you're basically saying by citing the BPD DoJ file that black cops pull over black people for no reason.

Furthermore I have yet to hear anyone who keeps citing this BPD DoJ report then support the DoJ report on the Michael Brown case that pretty much stated that the cop had EVERY right to shoot him and "hands up don't shoot" was a flat out lie. So once again I will say which is it: Michael Brown from Ferguson tried to attack a cop and steal his gun and got shot or BPD is not racist. You can't have neither. If you believe the DoJ report on BPD, then the same DoJ said what I just stated about Michael Brown.

If the criminal didn't have a weapon... you continue to chase them, at no point do you shoot them... it's against just about every protocol in this country.

Against protocol yes. About this protocol though. I wonder if it's appropriate to keep chasing them until they say, meet up with their friends and you become endangered. Or perhaps they go ballistic because you're chasing them and then begin to harm others thinking you're still right behind them.

Safer for everyone just to shoot i think. No reason law abiding citizens need to be put in potential harms way for a criminal.
