Right now it's GTX 950 but you can get GTX 960 for about the same price. RX 470 and RX 460 are coming soon and depeding on their pricing might be cheaper.

I think CPU is most important for WoW so literally any GPU above say $100 will do just fine. The newer intel processors also have strong GPUs that should suiffice for WoW.

I did a bit of research on this and the RX470 seems to be very interesting.
As rumours say it is as fast as a GTX1060 and costs about 200€

maybe I should have said almost as fast
Even if the gap will be 10%, the lower price would make the RX470 quite interesting.

What makes the RX 470 interesting is that it's a RX 480 but with sections disabled. Which means we might be able to unlock it to a RX 480 with a softmod or bios flash, if AMD didn't laser cut the chips.

What was the one they were touting as not needing a PCI-E connector, the 460 right?

The garrison is a last-minute tinkered scrapheap technologically. Basicly even if you can't see, other people's garrison is there and affecting your performance, *because reasons* . I have 50 fps in the garrison (i5-4690, GTX 970 OC, 8Gb DDR3 1600), anywhere outside doing world content, or any raid content runs with 115+ fps. On PTR during an invasion on setting10 still have 60 fps. Thank god we can get rid of garrisons in six *short* week, i hope they dont do the same technological mistakes with order halls..

    Hi guys,

It`s been a while since I posted here. A guild adviced me to buy a Geforce GTX 750TI ( 120 €) and I am very happy with the new graphics card.

I don`t know who is giving the recommendations in the "build of the month" section, but in my opinion these recommendations are quite suspicious.
If you want to play in 1920x1080 with full details the 750TI is perfectly fine.
In a raid environment fps is not dropping below 60 fps.

Hopefully this helps others to make a decision.

    Greetings
    Kigama

The 750 Ti is dated by todays standards, but will be mostly fine for WoW. There's better options over a 750 Ti, or there will be soon.

But this thread was opened to ask for the cheapest GPU, so a TI750 is a very good option for 1920x1080

There really aren't many options better than a 750TI at the price point, although one could have a GTX 950 for $115 ( not sure about euros)

750Ti is $100, 950 is $120, 960 2GB is $150. All are good options, depends on the budget.

The RX 460 just rolled out and it's $10 more than the 750 Ti, while performs like a GTX 950. The GTX 950 is also dropping in price, probably due to all these new AMD cards. The RX 470 is not much more than a these cards and performs substantially faster. The problem is finding these cards, as bitcoin miners are buying them up like crazy.

R7 Radeon series or 750 ti Anything below that would be a waste of time but anything would be better than what you have now.
