Competitive Tiers
- Competitive skill ratings are moving to a 1-5000 number rating.
- Will be separated into 7 tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum?, Diamond, Master, Grand Master).
- When you achieve a tier for the season, you will remain for the season. Your skill rating can drop below the tier mark but you will remain in the same tier. The exception is for the top tiers of Grandmaster and Master.
- Skill Rating decay will occur for Grandmaster, Master, and Diamond tier players after the player is absent in competitive for 7 days. You will lose points every 24 hours starting then. You can only drop to the bottom of Diamond through decay.
- In order to be a Top 500 player, you must have played a minimum of 50 matches. Placement matches will not be enough.
Ranked Points
- Guns cost 10x as much, however you will earn Ranked Points faster.
- Each time you earned 1 Ranked Point, you will now earn 10.
- Any accumulated Ranked Points will now be multiplied by 10.
General Map Changes
- Assemble your heroes time will be slightly reduced in later rounds
- No more coin flips. Ties can occur, if rarely they hope. Points will be awarded to both teams.
Grouping in Competitive
- Players can only be within 500 skill rating of each other to group together (this number to potentially change during PTR)
Assault Map Time Bank Changes
- The Final Attempt time has now been changed to 1:00 (down from 2:00)
- When capturing the first point while in Final Overtime, you will be credited an additional 30 seconds to your time. The other team will also receive 30 seconds in the interest of fairness.
Cart Pushing Maps
- In the event that teams have additional time at the end of their push, the map will reset and they will be allowed to push the cart as far as the can within the remaining time.
