Legion Invasions - XP nerf

I was receiving ~50k per stage and ~80k on completion, but now I'm getting from 14 to 20k stage / ~40k completion xp. 95 level. So, RIP levelling alts on invasions?

Like someone already said, the exp was bad for those boost sales

Confirmed. My level 93 Priest got exactly 25% of a level for one complete invasion.

are u sure ? i jest leveled my mage from 85 to 90 in 6 invasions and 2 dungeons in between, currently he is 92. this was this afternoon / evening only.

Yes, I am sure. Like 3-4 hours ago I was getting full 50/80k exp. Now I'm getting 14k or 20k per phase (one time 14k, one time 20k) and 44k per completion. This is like 50% nerf. Map tooltip still says "reward 86k xp".

I'd say with the time it takes, it's on par with questing. Maybe a little slower.
The true advantage is going AFK while leveling. The change is only encouraging me to fully exploit it now that it takes so much more time.

Well you get 3 invasions now and they happen every what? 2-3 hours? So it might be a net gain if you ... AFK-leech them all ^_^

It seems that even on EU they already ramped up the number of invasions. We're getting 3 zones at a time now and they respawn every 2 hours.

if you do all 3 every 2 hours it's an exp increase of about 180k (per 4 hours).

Now, every two hours, we get three invasions.

XP has been reduced by half.

So assuming, for calculation sake, that one old event was worth "10" xp. Every four hours, you would get 20 xp. (10x2)

Now, it's worth 5. Every four hours, you get 6 events, so 6x5 is 30.

So we could say the XP got boosted, not nerfed.

My guess is they flipped the switch for 3 invasions every 2 hours but forgot to change the XP so its still like before they got buffed

I did some calculations and in 2 hours with 3 invasions you get the same XP you would get in 4 hours with 2 invasions

Right now You have 3 invasions, and they have 2h CD instead of 4h.

This means You will do 6 invasions in 4h, instead of 2.
Granting You in total 600k exp, while before You were hitting 400k.

But instead of waiting 15 minutes per invasion and travelling between them we could do dungeons instead - which give more EXP after the *nerf*. Invasions are now definitly waaaay less effective.

Sure, but if you're AFK leveling, then it's great! Plus, you get quite a large amount of chests for ilevel 700 gear.
