Because I actually really like the isekai genre and the concept of R:Z is one of the more interesting takes. Like, I really really wanted it to be good and the show does have its high points, but there's so much I can't look past and I feel it's mostly adaptation issues.
Like when he woke up and the maids didn't know him and he realized he had died in his sleep, that was fucking great. The romantic bits feel really tacked-on and forced; Subaru may have clocked some time with them, but the flipside is the other side of the romances developed in no time at all. It's almost like Senjougahara falling in love with Araragi after like 2 episodes, but Subaru doesn't have many redeeming qualities to attract that sort of affection.
But like I said, going to read either the WN or LNs because the concept is solid.
