XP from invasions and leveling alts.

People unsubbing because they are bored is the bad thing.

I posted something similar to this in another thread.
If people are getting their rewards too fast, they get bored quicker and leave.
Maybe they should have made the gear more expensive and the chest you get only have a % of dropping a piece of gear.

I saw it as a nice new way for the returning players (and existing) to level up an alt quickly and easily before the expansion....they even raised the XP, what, 2 days ago? why break it now?

Then people just should stop after 2-3 times? whats the bad thing in that? I am sure if running death mine would drop the archi mount also many people would do it and jtbrig would have fun, buts would still be dumb and not balanced

And now imagine that every quest is exactly same quest. Would you still quest? Doubt so.

Same shit with invasions. It's all the same. And after you get all transmog gear there's no reasons to do it. Getting all gear (from my personal experience) takes 5-7 invasions. Glad I don't like weapons so I don't have to do this shit anymore.

Except the gameplay is still the same, the only thing that has changed was the "reward" was nerfed a bit. And no, it was by "50-60%".
You liked big exp. Everyone likes big exp. But its free, you don't have to do anything even to get it other than existing in the zone its happening is, so complaining is silly.

Yes its almost like I like to be rewarded for the time I spent doing shit. Kinda why I don't run classic raids anymore because there is nothing there for me. I enjoy killing the bosses but the reward is now gone.

Its almost like different people enjoy different things. It also seems to me that there is a select few who seem to have fun in ignoring fact and insulting others who disagree.

Wrong they'll go on for a few weeks into launch but eventually stop. Tbh the invasions are now entirely pointless I did try and do my part but even with the scaling my char gets one shot and has to wait 30 secs to ress then spend 5 mins running back its a waste of time no one even doing them the xp was a VERY good incentive to help people level those alts after getting sick and tired of WoD.

They can nerf the XP, them nerfing it isn't the issue. Its the amount they nerfed it by fallowed by the bullshit excuse they made. Come next week they will nerf it again and say (Well you can do all 6 invasions in 1 hour to equal the amount) Knowing that each invasion can take 15mins-30mins easy.

The invasions are already starting to take longer because max levels no longer needing anything and low levels getting shit xp.

also, if legion is good (aka have rather good game design) you have so much stuff to do which is engaging on one chrackter you need alts.

Might be worth it for people who are 85+ as they can fly around and access the cata portals. But for the painful low level grind (relatively you vanilla creeps) my level 19 rogue is really pressed for accessing the other faction's invasions.

Unless they change this I am done with WoW until the 30th. Ill log on my paladin solo MSV, Log on my lock and do FL for the legendary and be done. What would have been hours spent playing the next two weeks will now be 1 hour.

Really not at all the case since you can just afk in the zone. Giving xp for afk'ing is bad. You should at least have to tag the minibosses to get xp for that stage.

completely false. it would take 5 of the current invasions to equal the previous two, xp-wise. and invasions now take far longer because many people quit doing them because of the nerf, so it is mathematically almost exactly 1/3 less xp, overall.

Yeah except I'm not wrong. And the phasing means they won't take longer at all, that's just wrong. Think how quickly you get into a phase just starting when you enter a zone, it's nearly always at 0%. There are dozens of phased groups going on.

Pople will be doing them for the war forged gear too. Travel time is negligible too, if you know your way around the world you're never more than 10 minutes from an invasion with flying. As a lowbie it's pretty slow running and mounting but they're common enough in the zones close to capitals that it's negligible

So, its still good enough for me. I decided to delete a few toons and start over so I wouldnt need to pay for a race change. Here is what i've done so far:
- Got my movie key and created a recruit a friend account
- Lvled up till level 10 with my rogue and 60 with my Dk.
- With my rogue, I take a ride with my mage to invasion site and then summon a friend to get 300% bonus.
- With my DK, I just got flying skill and used my other dk as a xp bonus totem. I fly to invasion site and sit there.

So far I got my rogue to level 54 and my dk to level 70 in about 6 hours of play each toon.

After Im done with all chars, i will get a ton of free levels from recruit a friend.

Legion Invasions are here for the whole expansion if I'm not mistaken...
I think they need to revamp them if people are complaining about them after 1 week.

The Broken Shore scenario will be available for new level 100s the whole expansion.

The invasions themselves are a three-week event.

Too bad that.... invasions last for less than a month, and when you sub, you cant sub for time shorter than a month. Anybody who subbed because of invasions, wont be able to unsub until invasions are over. So, your point... ?
