Almost certain it was an MS-DOS game.

You controlled a single pixel, and there were various enemies on the map also represented by single or sometimes 2x2 pixels. They only moved when you moved, each had different behavior, and the object was for you to reach some form of goal before they got you.

No, but that's really really close. It's basically that, but the maps were more... cluttered? Way more stuff going on than that. Single screen puzzles. Lots of color.

The more I think about it, the more I think the enemies might have been represented by text based characters like 0's or F's

Sigh. I knew I was going to get short changed on my check for about two weeks of work and I was right. They short me $45.

I mentioned how my boss still owes me money and she goes "He busts his ass and yet no one thanks him." I can only say "I thanked him about a month ago, but no one wants to thank him when he now owes me $280."

Plus I'm sure that I'm going to get short changed again next week when they will only account for all the work next week and not tomorrow, which wasn't included in this check (because I didn't work it of course).

Just goes to figure no one is hiring anything more than part time right now.

I'm paid under the table, so no law broken, but there is going to be a time where I just don't work until I am fully paid. He wants to put me on payroll, and if he had done it before this paycheck he would already be in trouble.

I'm not going on payroll when I can't trust him with paying me already.

Really hope they add the other place as well in the game. The Forgotten Crypt.

There's an old game I'd love to play again. Played it growing up on Win 95.

Problem is, I don't remember the name of it. And it was pixel based. Makes it extremely hard to google.
