    Puppy build performance.

Pretty simple question for those in the know, how well would the current Puppy Build run WoW?

My current system is really old and i’m looking to fully replace it, but my budget is pretty low, and looking around for all my options.

I'd suggest filling out this info first:

    Budget
    Resolution
    Games / Settings Desired
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)
    Country
    Parts that can be reused
    Do you need an OS?
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?
In the meantime, here's a platform to work with. Maybe a nicer GPU, or different case.

My advice for you would be to hold on to your money till you can spent 750 dollars so you can get a Intel i5 cpu. As much as I hate to bash on a certain brand AMD cpu's are known for their poor performance in WoW. If WoW is your main game and you plan to raid 20man the framerate will be a serious annoyance. That being said a i3 can do the job so if you really don't wanna wait i'd look in to that.

And as I post this chazus drops a complete build for 507 dollars.

Yeah, the biggest problem with my computer is that it's a mac (don’t crucify me) it was a gift from 7 years ago, and haven’t really needed to upgrade, it’s ran WoW at acceptable frames with acceptable levels of graphics settings, but when 7.0 dropped, my framerate just tanked to like, 10.

Ouch, well I see some nice builds posted above. I stand by my advice to save up for 750 dollars as you can get the full package so to say but I can imagine with legion coming out that waiting isn't really a option.

I’m shocked at that it was able to run WoD as well as it did tbh.

C2D is still a pretty decent processor for the applications not optimized 4+ cores. And WoW doesnt really care much about GPU.

If your budget is ~600, do yourself a favor and get an i5 and a 1060. I finished a microATX build for a friend of mine last week, and it beats WoW to death in raids @ 1080

These days WoW uses the GPU more and more, that being said a nvidia card on WoW plays a lot nicer.

This is pretty much the exact build, just with the i5/1060. The 3gb 1060 is in stock pretty much everywhere atm.
