Hey that's nothing new for [notsosuper] tony. He's got the knee-jerk, right-winger-faux-tough-guy and corporate groupthink responses macroed on his keyboard and "ready to deploy" in his militaristic, robotic world view. Doesn't require any thought (not that he's ever attempted an independent thought in his life anyway), just push a button. Like the superior robots do with him.
[notsosuper] tony never saw a nail that didn't need hammering, or a right that didn't need to be wronged. It's worked for him so far to get a paycheck, bennies, and free college from that hated "socialist" gubmint. For [notsosuper] tony, socialism is good only when it benefits him and his ilk, but for others it's..."nah, pull yourself up by ur bootstraps, losers!!"

Obama's not here because the governor of the state asked him not to come. He also asked Clinton and Trump not to come. Our first responders are stretched very thin, and having political candidates or the President in the area means we have to pull them off of rescue and recovery to protect said political candidates or the President.

These areas are not below sea level. They aren't in flood plains. Most of them couldn't have gotten flood insurance even if they tried, because they don't live in areas that flood.

Clearly, pulling police and other first responders off of rescue and recovery details is way more important and impactful than having them, you know, actually rescuing people who need to be rescued.
I learned about the flood and have watched updates from the media so apparently they aren't ignoring it.
conservative media continues to amaze me at how much harm they can do to the countryobama isn't there he sucks

It's almost like the gov asked people not to come just for a photo op.

That's the thing, it's shown on national news, and has been for a while.

Except, the governor is explicitly calling for people not to come for a photo op. That might exclude the president, but the sentiment is the same.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." - Isaac Asimov
So apparently the governor has asked Obama to wait before visiting since it would take away resources to make sure he gets there.
Then why are you posting about a lack of coverage when you won't even research if there is a la

One of the daily national news programs from NBC has covered it several times. It is there. No one is ignoring it.

You know a community is bad when moderators lock a thread because "...this isnt the place to talk about it either seeing as it will get trolled..."
I love how people like Supertony and ThePenguin disappear when facts are thrown at them that dispute their claims.
