YOu have no idea how inspiring it is to read this! Are you a dentist or surgeon yourself?

Or if said person has extreme anxiety about the procedure. In which case they might even give you sedatives to help calm you. In such cases, general anasthesia is prefered, so that the patient doesn't sit there, panic and change their mind.
That's at least what's been done for relatives of mine and my mother. I reckon if I have to take mine out, that they'll need to do that to me as well. I have extreme anxiety about it.
Didn't read the entire thread, but...
The most extreme pain I've ever felt in my life was an impacted "wisdom" tooth. They took all four out in one procedure, the only time I've been under anesthesia. Worth it.
Morning update:
My sister thinks she might have a pinched nerve in her neck. She nannies for two young children whose parents are both police officers, so she's going to speak with them about it today and file a police report later at the local department. She's also considering going to speak with a Lawyer either today or tomorrow and potentially confronting the dentist on Monday.
If this pinched nerve is what's giving her a headache and not her teeth, then I imagine this guy must have squeezed her neck pretty damn hard..

I live in Minnesota, she lives in California.
What kind of horror show is your mouth to have all that happen? Mine were a simple extraction. A little local anesthetic injected in to the roof of my mouth, and the gum line on the other side of each tooth. He used some forceps to grip the tooth, wiggled it loose and simply pulled it out. No drills, no fuss, no pain until later, obviously some blood since it's how you avoid dry socket, but not pools.
It's fun to be lucky enough to have teeth that all came in straight and correct.
Go see a lawyer ... NOW! If there is a case, you will need to take specific steps.
With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.
Just the kind of thread I want to read when I'm getting a tooth pulled on Monday.
I didn't have my wisdom teeth removed. I don't see the point. Had a dentist that wanted to do it and I said no. I also had many dentists who wanted to drill for a cavity that I didn't have either. There's this one tooth that every dentist keeps finding with a hook, and ask me if it hurts, and I say no, but they want to drill anyway. That's been going on for over 10 years now, and no problems with my teeth. I've only had one cavity filled and that's when I was too young to know better.
Wisdom Teeth Master race. Remember, dentists make money but screwing with your teeth. I go for a cleaning once a year and that's it.
I would be absolutely sure it happened rather than as an hallucination. This story sounds illogical, especially the wood part. She could have pinched a nerve herself and had her mind fill the rest in.
If she wants to report that's fine, but she should be prepared to be heavily questioned or told it was a dream.

I actually had my wisdom teeth removed wtihout general anesthesia. Local anesthesia naturally, but I just played with a gameboy and listened to music the whole time. I've had knee surgery, hand surgery, and surgery on my ribs all with local anesthesia. It's not terrible. The worst thing about it is that while it doesn't hurt, a lot of times you can still feel the cutting/pulling happening, which is kind of creepy.
One time when I was at the dentist I didn't get a lollipop but I'm okay with that because I don't just go to dentistry I get to go to a dentist named Lee.
what was the wood for? I dont see why he would do that?
your sister should sue the dentist. unacceptable.
anyone pinches me i'l make sure they get pinched by the Police.
