Is my setup 1440p ready?

i would like to know if i can run games like Doom on max settings with my setup on 1440p monitors?

Yes you can. 60fps easily.

If you have a 120 or 144hz monitor you might need to upgrade.

I have almost identical set up to you - bit more ram, overclocked cpu for 4.5 and i have a 1440p 165hz display.

He wont have even close close to 144 FPS in most games on maximum or close settings.

You'll get nowhere near 144fps with a 1070 if you're going with max settings. Even 1080sli doesnt get 144fps in newer games on max

I know, as that is close to impossible in wow if you are talking raids. In open world, I hit that with a 1070 and a 4690. So I ask again:

In raids no, in open world and arena, yes. With everything at almost max, as I shadow at good and view distance 7, I get 80 fps with a render scale on 180%.
