I took the whole week off too, played a lot of beta so know what to expect. I can't wait!

I should have thought about quitting on the 28th-29th tbh
Just don't show up if you quit a couple of days later anyway, lol.

shouldn't have done that. I am willing to bet my testicles that legion gonna be ddossed to hell and back. I am certain that this weeks ddossing was just testing the waters for next weeks release.

I hope not i am wrong, but large releases like this tend to grab attention from script kiddies.

Except atleast half of those who bought and played legion did so because they had nothing to do in wow.
My friends list. Everyone was playing overwatch. Now only 1 person is playing it about once a day. The rest is doing wow stuff in the pre-pathc.
OW was nothing but a time killer while waiting for something good to come out.

Hype doesn't just come from a player base though it has to be generated by the company, I was implying that little to no effort has been put into Legion hype from Blizzard, the past expansions there was 100x more information than there is for this expansion.

I have already bought legion but the invasions were a fun thing to do now they are just another blue bar filling effort, even the second half of the quest chain ended abruptly as it was obviously intended to be done all at the same time.

seems like the hype train at Blizzard ran out of juice in the overwatch station and didn't continue down the line.

Lol! Guess we are in same boat just my luck that it matched Legion release.
Joined Legion during alpha stage so it isn't something "new" to me, but I'm still so hyped. Legion have so much to offer and are imo possible the best expansion ever - better than Wotlk , but can't decide if TbC was better it is a close call however

They've done a pretty good job of objectifying the content they've produced, while keeping some of us pretty excited. Hypetrains have been known to bite them in the ass - this is a less volatile approach.

    Same.
I am not a fast leveller, nor will be this time.
Getting the collector's edition so if history is anything to go by I may even get it 1 day late.
But as I am in no race, that isn't a major issue.
If anything there is a little reduction in the crowds and hopefully some stability / bug fixes in place by then.

Hooray for being retired in SEA. NOthing on my schedule and Midnight Pacific time launch is in the middle of the afternoon.
You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever, But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun...
And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise, And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.
And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body, Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.

I am excited but in no way "hyped" about it and I most definitely did not take vacation days for it... I am taking 2nd September off but because that is my b-day and I had that down even before the launch date was made public.

Honestly, if you are taking vacation days for this you are a fool. I did so for WoD ( because I was really hyped) and turned out to be the worst 3 vacation days I ever spent. Could not play the game at all the first two days... If there weren't any login queues it was the garrison phasing bug, if not that then it was lag. Totally unplayable.

My advice to anyone would be to not even try to go to WoW the first 2~3 days after the launch. Avoid the quest mob / node competition, the lag, any issues that for sure will appear. What is the point anyway? No mythic dungeons for the first whole week, no raids for almost a month... The only reason to rush it would be server firsts (which no longer give a Feat of Strength) or for gathering mats to dump on AH for ridiculous prices (and make pornographic ammounts of gold). Who needs gold anymore?

You misunderstood. Theres mythic dungeons right after the reset. We only have to wait 1 day for mythic dungeons, not a week. EU was going to get them one day faster but that isnt the case anymore.

Spoiled myself too much in the beta so I'm not as hyped as some may be but I sure am happy we're finally leaving Draenor and moving on. Can't wait to see what future patches hold, that's what I'm most hype about.

you may feel that way but I don't even feel as though there has been scraps of meat for the wolves to be honest, usually there is a lot of posts on the main site updates everyday on mmo champion and the like, but this time, nothing. there is no real hype to get swept up in, feels like Blizz is just cowering in the corner hoping the wolves don't come after them.

I have not played the Beta as I don't like to ruin the story before its released, so I have no indication of what the game is like, but that is the problem to me. there IS no indication for people like me on how the game is only that its "way better than WoD". If there was something more than no more HFC, that I personally have not done for 8 months, to look forward to it feels like a hype fail.

Heck there isn't even T16 BiS lists, very little information on legendary items as these things are still changing, let's all hope this isn't an unfinished expansion that will have the end game content bolted on in the first few patches.

    I am so hyped

I would love to take some time off and go back to playing WoW for anywhere from 8 to 24 hours a day for the first week or two of the expansion. Don't think it's likely to happen though, sadly. Fuck being an adult.

    Slowly working up hype.

Once my hunter has her herald of the Titans achievement in a few days I'll be able to have every class at 100 in time for launch. I will be prepared!

Oh and I don't have college until a week or so after legion hits. Going to be having late nights even after I start again. Education don't mean shit, especially when it's as poor as it is here.
