The Harambe incident is the gift that keeps on giving.
We had to go up against a group of HITs the other day. That is to say, "Harambes In Training". Someone sprayed that picture of the child with the arm in a cast and they never got past that point. It was a massacre.
Loving Zarya, Zenyatta and Lucio so far. I seem to be unable to anything decent with any of the offense heroes for some reason though. I don't play a lot of shooters, I guess most of it is down to me being shit at aiming, but my GOD is it infuriating when you hit like a wet noodle with any offensy type but you get destroyed by them all the time. >_<
My worst fear is that I join a team that needs offense lol. Not only do I suck at all of them, but I don't like playing as any of them (correlation?). I'm basically a support/tank specialist at this point (sans Reinhardt...so boring). I could pick up Junkrat, Mei, and Hanzo too if I needed to.
I play a pretty wide swath of heroes but I have issues hitting the side of a barn in my old age.
CS:S was the last FPS I excelled at on the PC. Legitimately having 40:1 kill-death-ratio on some servers back in the day. Now I'm often terrible at them. Still god-mode on consoles though, hilariously enough.
But I tend to pick up Reinhardt(52% win-rate) and Roadhog(50% win-rate) with a sprinkling of D.va(51% win-rate) the most as people tend to shy away from tanks so I fill. They're played in that order of preference.
Offense I grab McCree(50% win-rate) mostly. Namely because I've played him so long that I do have a bit of familiarity and can nail some scary headshots. I'm gradually getting better at his single-shot but anyone from offense tends to be my LAST pick. Reaper(65% win-rate) is a far behind McCree and only grabbed when the enemy team is meaty as all hell, plus he has the bonus of being super easy to aim with.
Defense is my go-to after tanks. Firstly I'll grab Torb(62% win-rate), almost guaranteed, with Symmetra(74% win-rate) coming in at a close second... and yes, I know she's not a "defense" hero but she should be; again both of these heroes prioritize intelligent placement over aim. Junkrat(52% win-rate) is in third and often played more as an offensive hero rather than defensive, in place of my McCree/Reaper pick, he'd be picked consistently over those two BUT he is hindered by his vulnerability concerning snipers and Pharah; otherwise, he's actually my preferred pick for attacking and needing damage.
Support is my third go-to. Ana(54% win-rate) is preferred for escort missions while Lucio(57% win-rate) is used for KotH gameplay. I rarely touch Mercy(52% win-rate). I just don't find her fun to play in most instances short of her big "fuck you" ultimate.
Totaling at 111 played hours at the time of this post with 458 wins. I am Prestige 1; Rank 21.

Trying to learn Pharah at the moment, need to start landing some direct rocket hits, also need better intuition on when to use my ult. I'm having a very hard time.
My response time and aiming have always been shit. McCree is a big no, Soldier okay-ish, again having a hard time with landing successful Reaper ults, Genji and Tracer I simply cannot survive with. When the team needs damage and if me trying to learn Pharah is clearly a burden, I usually pick Junkrat who I am decent with.
Yet I'm now quite efficient with both Rein and Hog and am happy to fill the tank role. For support though, my healing with Lucio is so shit that I genuinely sabotage the game, sticking with Zen.

Right now isn't a very good time to play Pharah though. D.Va and Genji counter your ult, McCree and Soldier just flat out counter you, and 3 of those 4 hero's are very popular at the moment. That said, if you can get good results with Pharah right now, then that means you should be able to do even better with her next patch when Genji gets toned down.
She's in a strange spot because she's not actually bad, and can end up completely dominating a match (our Ana got told to 'kill her daughter' whom I was playing); the problem she has is the popularity and strength of her counters. It's hard to really know how to fix that workout making her ridiculous.
In other news I decided to give Junkrat some time today; the game gave me the Hayseed skin, the Summer Games skin and some cool sprays and voice lines so kinda felt obliged. He hadn't had much appeal to me, but damn he's fun, and so strong as well. Only lost 1 match I think out of about 10.
Well, as someone that played a lot of Phara before the Ana patch, i can only echo Jessicka's opinion. Mccree got buffed a lot, Ana's dps is really strong, Zenyatta have battlefield presence and his discord orb has fast travel time, so you now have a 50% (soon 30%) damage increase on you before you can say Justice, Those are 3 new really strong hard counters to Phara in a single patch cycle while the old one are still viable to kill her.
Add the reduced projectile hitboxes that made hit her direct hit rockets harder while her splash damage is still low and Mercy, her favorite pocket healer, is outclassed by the other supports... so yeah, everything went wrong for Phara with the current balance patch. <.<
Here was a level 85 Enhancement Shaman. Now there is just an epitaph.
i got the lucio ribbit skin earlier today.
even tho i absolutely hate that skin (fucking little provocative grin....), still a nice addition.

Now that we're back to QM, I'm instalocking him every match. Junkrat is my best character. I'm terrible at direct aiming, like needing a headshot, but I'm great at angles and positioning as well as reflexes. Junkrat is the FPS character I've always wanted to play, but never had available.
BAD WOLF
So, as much as I love Junkrat, things that inevitably happen when I activate Rip-Tire:
As soon as it starts moving, before I even get out from behind my hidey-hole, it just dies. Before anyone could even see it.
I hit the trigger to make it go boom, one second later, it vanishes without exploding, because time itself twists just to piss me off.
The INSTANT I hit the button to activate my ultimate, before my character has a chance to speak, I get killed, and I lose all my ultimate charge. Because that's fair.
i will probably take a break till season 2.
since the end of season 1 quickplay has been a disaster.
today i got grouped up with 3 trolling premades in a row.
once i had a all reinhardt group.
then i had a group that took winston, they where just jumping around, not killing anyone, spinning and screaming "dicks out for harambe!" in chat.
and another group that was just sitting around near the first point and spamming emotes.
and when i told them to play normally....
"salty much?! LUL"
"its quick play! no one cares!"
"who gives a shit m8?"
"take harambe!"
"fuck off widow! take reinhardt ffs!"
"DEUTSCHLAND!"
hahaha....
the good thing was that i could improve my widow skills, 2/3 enemy teams were basically just afking around when they saw us.
easy targets.
