this feels like the 10th thread recently discussing this. is it really a computer question when the discussion always turns into a personal morals debate?

If people feel that buying cheap Windows 10 keys is starving Microsoft developers out of their homes, that's their thing. I however would like to spend as little as possible for something like a copy of Windows. I bought Dark Souls 3 from G2A.com and no problems so far. With Denuvo being very good at not being cracked, a lot of people are going to find the cheapest route to get what they want. I threw my moral obligation in the toilet long ago when it comes to software purchases. If I could I would be using Linux exclusively, but if you want to get anywhere in life you need to use Windows, for the time being. Meanwhile I'll find the cheapest method to get what I want.

Very good, but not impossible. RotTR is cracked as of this month.

There's a reason why we have minimum wage and why companies abuse H-1B visa's. This is about regional pricing to undercut the publisher. Truth is, publishers like currencies like Euros or Dollars cause they have more worth than Rupeels. This is why some game consoles have region locking so people don't buy cheaper games from other countries. There are stolen keys once in a while, but not the majority. This is like the whole used game sales issue, except publishers do get money, just not as much as they'd like.

Well, it has to do with computer software, so I am not really sure where else it should go. I do agree, it seems like a lot lately though and maybe people should follow the general forum guidelines and search before posting a question like this.

This thread has been helpful for me, anyway. If it's a moral issue, I don't have any problem getting Windows from Kinguin because it's still legal. The risk of getting the license revoked seems small, and even then I could still buy two or even three more copies from Kinguin for less than it would have cost to buy from Microsoft.

Yeah, I didn't actually search either, I just seem to recall this same post a few times in the past weeks. Maybe it's just me though, maybe it was just discussed in other threads on other topics. Searching "Kinguin" brings this post up now, so hopefully people will find it now when searching, since it's title actually tells exactly what it's about better than the others.

It'll be cracked, but I believe the point of Denuvo is to get people to buy the game while it's hot, and expensive. Cause lots of people try with piracy before they buy, and that usually means people wait for price drops. They fully expect the games to be cracked, but believe that they'll make more money in the meantime. We'll see if this is correct or not, but I doubt it. Those who can't wait for a crack will turn to sites like G2A/Kinguin for a cheap copy of the game. Used game sales or these key sites show that no matter what, people don't want to pay the full price of $50/$60 for a game.

It's like you don't read what I say, then go off on some other crazy tangent. It's not that It'll be cracked, it already is. Now that there is a crack for denuvo, none of the rest of what you said even matters. It's cracked.

It was a good run for denuvo though. Took nearly a year to crack it.

That's news to me, cause from what I've heard it wasn't totally cracked. This CPY guy has cracked only one game so far, unless there's more I don't know about? Another person named Voksi made a bypass that only lasted for a few days.

Now that CPY/CONSPIR4CY has cracked one game, it's only a matter of time before the rest are cracked. Yeah, the Voksi bypass was short lived, but this other crack is the real deal. Since denuvo is the same across all the games it's used on, it will be cracked on the rest, and on future games, in short order. Plus, 3DM will be coming off their year break soon, so it doesn't matter much anyway.
