You're thinking of the Red one, which is still 100 or whatever coins. The Blue one was always obtainable via gold from the Mists version of Nat Pagle in Krasarang Wilds, and always required exalted with the Anglers to buy.

i am not sure what you're getting at. You've always needed exalted and gold to get the mount.

yep. my bad. was thinking of the crimson water strider.

you can just get waterwalking potions they work while mounted, but I guess any damage breaks the effect if you aggro something and it manages to hit you (not sure what the areas look like, haven't played beta)

Azure water strider is easy to get. Got it in about a week or so.
