I will actually miss WoD, never really understood the hate to it. Sure there was little content at times, but that's what the unsub button is for, just unsub when you find the game boring, and resub when you want to play again, as you do with every other game - play when fun, play something else when you find it boring.

The raids where amazing to be honest, Garrisons had potential, but they put too much into them, making gathering professions obsolute, and everything a bit too easy. Free gold is great though, as that equals free game time.

I also really loved the leveling in WoD, leveled up a bunch of alts, which I never do because I HATE questing, but WoD was amazing.


Legion will be better though, atleast that's the feel I got from playing on Beta. There is always something to do! But I give it two months before people start to bitch about "too many world quests we HAVE to do", or that the grind in Suramar is too much. Or that Artifact Weapons and Power is stupid, as you have to play too much to keep up with everyone else.

Leveling experience in WoD was good. Raiding in WoD was good when the raids came out. The dungeons were Ok. The pvp was non-existent. The issue with WoD is entirely in pacing.

Example:

1. Highmaul (4 months)
2. Blackrock foundry (8 Months)
3. Hellfire Citadel (15 months)

Their theory is Highmaul and BRF are one Tier. In truth, they were two separate levels of gear. Anytime one instance completely replaces another's set of gear. It's a new Tier. This mean instead of 12 months for Tier 1 and 15 months for Tier 2. It felt like an eternity doing HFC. As a result alot of guilds, including mine basically stopped doing things for 5+ months. We basically got bored. As a result, that meant we looked for things to do. And unless you like facebook games. There wasn't anything to do. That was what really kills WoD for most people.

If Legion had just 2 raid tiers it would still have more content than WoD. That's how bad it was...

Legion is going to have more content added than Pandaria did so that is a bonus.
