Does anyone else get the feeling that some of the dungeons feel like they could very well just be a raid because of their design and structure?
- Eye of Azshara is basically a water version of Firelands
- Halls of Valor feels like a mini version of Ulduar to me
- Neltharion's Lair feels like a combination of Onyxia's Lair and Bastion of Twilight
- Maw of Souls has a Dragon Soul vibe to it (the final boss basically is Madness 2.0 - but this time it's actually good)
Haven't done some of the other dungeons yet, but I absolutely love this. It doesn't feel like I'm just farming them for virtual items, but like I'm actually having an adventure into a dungeon full of loot, dangerous enemies and bosses that actually mean something for the main story.
I haven't had this much fun in WoW since WotLK and I hope so much they continue this trend. I've seen people being confused as hell when they're confronted with open space like in Eye of Azshara, but that's what makes me feel warm inside even more. This feeling of not really knowing what to do, but just doing it anyway is something I've been missing since Classic.
So glad I came back for Legion. Even if it's only for the first few weeks and the content becomes stale I absolutely love Blizzard for what they've done with this addon. Everything just feels so right, like it hasn't felt for a long, long time.
