The wow forums are even more autistic than these ones, I can't read them without losing a few braincells.
It's back. Have fun all.
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"
Isn't it rather odd that both US and EU servers are affected?
wouldn't say it's odd, just means that the attack is targeted against both regions
I can't even log into battle.net Been stuck at "Logging in." for about a hour soon.
It's EU only...
Go check down detector map.
DDOS attacks come from an extremely large network of computers, usually tied to each other through a dormant virus that sits on your computer, or popular software with a security loop hole. The host sends a signal to a million PCs with this virus and then, at the same time, all of the machines on this network send a packet request to the target server(s), and BoooOOoooooOOoooM no more WoW.
Check out this sweet website called Digital Attack Map to get a better understanding.

US realms were DDOSed last night, now it's EU.
In case you hadn't noticed the issue started almost precisely at 08:00 PM CET. They are clearly targeting the weekend evening load crowd, when people will get the most upset and Blizzard will get the most unfounded bile from uninformed and frustrated players.
If the realms were prone to crashing, they would have on release. There hasn't been a single hiccup on most EU realms all week.
blizzard should just invest on cloudflares
How joyous to be in such a place! Where phishing is not only allowed, it is encouraged!
