Hi! Would love your advice on my new build!

    Hello!

    Long time lurker here!

I was wondering wether you could help me for the 3rd(!) time with building a new desktop You guys were awesome the past 2 times and your advice was put in great use.

Here is a link of the build I am thinking of, which includes a pc and a monitor.

    http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/1098719

I am buying my desktop in the UK.

    Requirements:

I am pretty much set with the cpu and the gpu, as I would like to be able to play 144hz1440p/stream 1080p if possible.

I am buying a bit more watts on the power supply as I am thinking of SLI in the future? (Or maybe wait for the 1080ti not sure!).

I went for a monitor with 144hz/1440p/27'' and I really just want a build which will be able to pull off those numbers on ultra settings on most games and ideally on at least some new ones too.

    The questions I have are:

    1) Did I go overboard with the fanning/cooling? I have had some issues with my processors overheating in the past.
    2) How's the motherboard? I honestly don't know much about motherboards so I was wondering wether I went overboard there too price wise.
    3) If I could save some money, where could I make some cuts without losing too much in performance?

Thank you very much in advance

Edit: If anyone knows any better UK retailers which sell the products separately (amazon?), I am inclined to build it myself if it is much cheaper. Not experienced in overclocking however, so not sure if it is advisable.

Are you set with the configurator? Building from multiple stores will be substantially cheaper and will generally get you a better configuration (one store even has all the optimal choices). Also, what is your budget?

Thank you for your answer Thunderball.

As I specified on my edit, I am not set on cyberpower. I looked at pcpartpicker and realized I can save up to 400 pounds by building myself, although I am not sure about the number. I would like to go as cheaper as possible while being able to have the gtx 1080, i7 6700k and be able to go SLI in the future if I want to. I looked at a linustechtips vid about overlocking and I will definitely try the asus overclocking software at least, which should take up to 4.5ghz if I am not mistaken, so a decent cooler will most likely also be required.

My budget is flexible. I can go up to 2000 pounds for the desktop, but would rather pay less if the cost is not worth the performance boost.

I wouldnt advice on SLI simply because the benefits are very small, and on the other end a lot of games dont support SLI still, it will mean a more powerful PSU and higher temperatures for other components because of the heat generated. I advice on sticking with a single card, probably getting a GTX 1080 Ti on launch if you're unhappy with a single GTX 1080.

    Again thanks for the answer!

Would the cooler suffice for overclocking? Or do I need a water cooler.

If you want the water cooler that will be significantly better than one of the top air cooler (which this one is) you need a custom loop which is $500-600 minimum for the components plus installation. It's not worth it. You also probably wont max on the capabilities the top air cooler will give you too.
