Not sure how the hell they spotted that as a first down. There's generous and then there's things like that :/
Run blocking wasn't bad when Mathis was healthy last year, it was the pass blocking that was horrible and Garcia hardly played at the same time and that is his strength. Looks like the spot won't matter, Garcia pushed CJ far enough.

Yay batted passes with a wide open receiver.

Yeah, Carolina had to burn a timeout to correct it, otherwise same result after that 4th down.

Woo, safety blitz on third down, giving Carolina a chance. I was worried a field goal was gonna ruin their chance.

Welp, never mind. Panthers still don't know how to stop Von Miller.

These defensive penalties on 3rd down stops are stupid. Happened quite a bit last year as well, price of being aggressive I guess.

Surprised it has even come down to this with 3 turnovers, and the defense not showing up in the 1st half. And another 3rd down conversion from not being able to cover a TE, the trend continues.

And Cam got destroyed and another penalty on a stupid penalty, good thing they called intentional grounding for once.

The fact an intentional grounding penalty offsets a personal foul that would kill any of us armchair QBs says a lot.

They really gotta rethink that shit. At the very least, subtract the amount of penalty yards from one penalty to the other, and in that case, give the offense ten yards. Even if they don't get a free first down, it's something, and it makes more sense.

Also on that note, five yard defensive penalties shouldn't be automatic first downs.

Sheesh, Gano made the first one, then misses the second one. What a game this was.

The other team took a Time Out before the ball was snapped. Carolina just took advantage of the moment and did a practice kick.

Might be the first time I've seen icing the kicker work in quite some time.

I read somewhere that statistically, icing the kicker doesn't work. Well...

Denver called a timeout before the ball was snapped. It's known as "icing the kicker", trying to make them flub it.

I was just explaining what that is to my wife, and how it usually doesn't work, but then it did.
