    This decision has been changed as it doesn't feel good for the players to have powerful items and not being able to use them other than for the stat boost.

    This has been said in some q&a sometime between blizzcon and March or so.

    You remember the mess with LFR spam and top guilds ban back in Cataclysm? It matters and best guilds do anything to gain an edge. Account sharing, buying, transfering characters. Just so they won't have 1% wipes because someone didn't get 895 orange item.

    Yes, it probably won't affect the race - but mostly because said guilds won't rely purely on luck.

    paragon were on their way out as it was, and do you even know spine of deathwing? What you quoted is factually correct, since some legendaries are a solid 10%+ dps increase and this is the first time we're WALKING INTO an expansions first raid with them. The only notable carryovers since wrath were the ulduar mace which was initially undertuned but became a lifesaver on LK after being buffed, and tarecgosa that was considered mandatory for WF progression in numbers.

    how is that different than getting a warforged socket soul capa on your first week? was that not a 10% dps increase? yeah it was.

    im not saying it doesnt give an advantage, im saying preparation, skill and coordination will trump that every time unless the rank 1 and 2 guilds are literally the exact same level of skill.

    Except that the legendary effects are disabled in Mythic raids while they're cutting-edge content, as Blues have stated all through beta. If it has that much effect on world-first races, that means it takes the world-first race several weeks in which case, we've got bigger problems than a few overpowered items.

    This system is BS. I heard that people are fcking multiboxing just to get those legendaries. Player multiboxes 4 hunters for example, once a legendary drops on one of them, he''l just main that one hunter.

    It's silly.

    Except in the case of spine this was factually false. You said it never in the history of progression did it happen - on spine guilds 'pugged' ANY half decent player with tarecgosa to get their realm first kills. Blood Legion used like 5 nonguilded members iirc.

    It wasn't about skill or coordination in the end, it was about having the legendary.

    They totally will, absolutely. Can't understand why people think they won't, considering how required and amazing some of them are. This is some BiS gear for these mythics. if 3-4 people have them in mythic raids then you can bet your ass it will change things.

    We haven't had a single tier since where the criteria was met before now, blizzard explicitly avoids the possibility of mid tier legendaries until now, or made sure everyone had them.

    The rings also weren't nearly as powerful as a single compared to the whole raid with them and the extra 60 ilvls added later.

    By the time mythic raids come out everybody who plays regularly will have legendaries due to the bad luck protection. Nobody competes for normal/heroic progression so it's irrelevant in that regard.

    You will have done before mythic raids start:

    27 emissary caches
    4 rounds of mythic dungeons
    infinite amount of heroic dungeons.

    These are places we know for a fact legendaries come from.

    Just yesterday a guildie got a legendary when he was doing mining profession quest, he believe it was of a regular mob, but he wasn't sure.

    Each one of these things you do will increase your chance to get legendary. If you play for mythic world first race you will actively do all this on every character to max your ilvl and obviously also increase chance to get legendary.

    yes but the way legendaries are now is that basically anyone who's in a top top competitive progress guild will have 20+characters in the guild with legendaries, since all of them play like 5-6 of them constantly, one of them's bound to find one
