No automated group finder for Mythic is a problem.

I don't even want to do Mythics, but quests are sending me there so I have no choice. I have 836 ilvl and when I try to find a group here's what happens: "link achievement or GTFO". Right.
Second option would be going in as a tank, as my class has a tanking spec, but I don't know the "things to do" and certainly won't learn them by not going there. I did play hardcore a loooong time ago and know reading about it is not enough.

You can always start the group yourself, and list it as i835+, you'll get a lot of geared players for a relatively smooth run.

Make your own group. And no you don't have to do mythics to get a decent item level. I'm 839 and I've done one mythic with no loot drops. Also what story? Mythic dungeons are basically the same except Arcway and Court.

Yup.

Bllizzard says it is not required and then they do everything in their power to hint at it is an important piece..almost required. Lots of casual players are going to quit over this.

"Make your own group" is always such great an argument. You can do it to handwave away basically everything. The thing with mythics is, they've pretty much replaced Heroics outside of keystone ones by now. With normals being trash tier and heroics being what normals used to be when hitting max level.

Keystone one's shouldn't be through LFD but there was a reason LFD was introduced to begin with and given mythics have taken the spot of heroics they should be baked into the LFD system.

The garrison campaign sends you to mythic instances later on so i suppose that's what he's referring to. That said normal mythics are incredibly easy.

Not sure what you are referring to instances have been that way since I can't even remember. Heroics were the standard and are the standard now.

Mythic are easy, you don't have to be a Genius to clean them.
And if you are an "ex-hardcore" player, you can faceroll mythic without even knowing the strat, just get out of aoe and GG. If you are tank, you should read the dungeon helper codex, it's more than enough.

And... Yes, make your own group. The problem is not the game, it's clearly you at this point.

Relax, later into the expansion when everyone is familiar with mechanics and possesses better gear they are likely to be added to the LFD.
