    dodge etc in PVP

    hey

how does dodge (and other similar stats) work in pvp? since i can not gear or gem or enchant for hitcap, how does it work?
if someone has x amount of dodge in instanced, is that his TRUE dodge % in instanced PVP and is there anything one can do about getting more chance to hi against him? besides hitting him while stunned or from behind, obv. but thats not the point.

    thanks

Curious to the answer to this as well. Sub rogues can get 25% dodge or something from their AW

As far as I'm aware dodge in pvp is true dodge. You can't mitigate it other than stunning them since you can't dodge whilst stunned.

I could be wrong though so if anyone knows different let me know too

I was trying to find my Dodge % everywhere.

Then, by chance, I saw it's on Armory.

If someone knows where can I see it in the game, I'd appreciate it.

You need the addon DejaCharacterStats nowadays to see that.

Hey, I tried that. Didn't work.

My guess is that it wont show if I only have dodge from artifact *shrug*

Unless there's a known compatibility issue with something?

You can also get behind them, same with parry.

But yeah, no way to bypass it. There used to be a stat called Expertise that lowered the chance for your attacks to be parried/dodged, but that got removed in WoD.

In WoD they gave all melees a buff that reduces the chance to be parried/dodged in PvP (to compensate for the expertise removal). (A bit like tanks in PvE get to avoid parries from bosses.) I'm not sure if that is still active though.

It is, but you have no control over it, which was what OP seemed to be asking about.

I don't get why they don't just remove it outside of specific cooldowns. It's outdated as fuck and shouldn't exist still. The amount of games I've lost because a holy pala would parry a bash or something... sigh.
