Ugh, that's a lot of gold to be spent. Costs about 30,000g per neck right now in materials on my server.

crafting those class necklases from gems alone is not profitable as they cost more than actual necks. plus blood of sargeras that i could profit from in other ways.

how much do u charge for these then ?

i too am wondering whether I simply should sell gems or raw ores and buy the stuff i need because right now the investment is far too expensive. epic stat gems go for 25k. considering you only need one of them ...i can just buy stuff. crafting costs are probably higher than 25k. jc is just kinda effed atm :<

Was a pain to skill it, paid around 300k and people dont even buy the 200 stats gem on my server.

because they are overpriced (200int currently 20k on my server, while crafting cost is 10k).
I'm even reluctant to put it into my 850 neck, same goes for the legion enchants which start at 15k.

With the new direction of the professions system, why does Saber Eye require 800 JC in the first place? Meh.

I've spent estimated 1,020,000g on leveling Jewelcrafting 790+
37 Necklaces made and only 4 skill earned. Currently at 794.

350,000g+ spent only at 794 skill with no skill ups

Depends on their server prices and if they got lucky with skill ups. But don't be surprised if they did.

Just to clear something up: Rank 3 recipes do NOT drop from Heroic, but Mythic. As indicated by the fact that several drop from Suramar Mythics but are incorrectly displayed as "(Heroic)" on the tooltip for where to get them.

That being said is currently not worth investing into getting it up in the slightest.
I have 2 Rank 3 neck recipes, I've made about 25 since 790 at an average cost of roughly 25k per craft, and I just got to 796. With the wrong stats the necks don't even sell for half of the material price, if they sell at all. BiS necks for some specs can sell for cost or slight profit, but rarely.

Atm there are already several on my realm selling the stat gems who clearly abused the Draenor daily craft bug early to their advantage, but at the prices they're selling i'll never make the 1 mil + I've spent back on stat gems.

I will be waiting for the Darkmoon Faire and only crafting with what I farm naturally until then.

Thank god i dumped JC and went with enchanting this xpack.. Money sink with like no option of making invested money back. One guy skilled up 800 yesterday and have put them gems on AH. If i had legendary neck/ring i would buy that gem for 25k and stick it in one of those but other than that cant see anyone spending 25k for 200 stat gem...

Sure you can get 30 JC points from Darkmoon Faire... but only if you plan on waiting until the March 2017 Darkmoon Faire. Because you are only gonna get +5 JC each Darkmoon Faire (October, November, December, Jan, Feb, March)

It certainly is NOT +5 per day... because they are considered WEEKLY quests... and since DMF only LASTS a week you dont get another bite at the apple until the NEXT DMF.

Depends on their server prices and if they got lucky with skill ups. But don't be surprised if they did.

Basicly when you did it early enough as I did, you spent 0 gold. Just got lucky with the R3 Neck Recipe and disenchanted the crafted Necks in Obliterum Forge. During that time the materials were arround 7-10k Gold and you got average 1.4 Obliterum with 8-9k Gold per Obliterum in Auction House. Nevertheless it took a lot of time and 10 Necks for 799 to 800. Warlords of Draenor daily quest was also a big help until it got fixed.

I was for 10 days the only guy with epic gems in my Auction House and sold arround 5 - 20 gems per day with ~10k profit each gem. Was worth it to skill up that early. Right now I would compensate the material costs with herbalism to get it done as quick as possible to focus on something else again.
