I'm not a fan. You have to find a belt that goes with the set! A lot of times there will be belts from other content that can go with whatever set you're trying to make. And it's part of the challenge of transmog, you have to go and unlock your looks before you use them.

No one cares if you're not a fan. If you want to continue to use belts that's your prerogative: but don't be one of the idiots who thinks their way = the only way.

I can see this leading to the very VERY much requested (I think?) option to hide bracers. Why not? They're usually far less visible anyways, but they can ruin certain sleeves and glove looks quite badly.

I hope it's a return to the real "hide" feature and not another "invisible transmog" (invisible transmogs can stay for everyone that gets a use for them, though). I really miss being able to really hide my character's helm and cloak and not lose my transmog by doing so. Worst downgrade ever.

One of the belts that the DKs have on their intro zones (either the one you get when creating the character, or the one from the Saronite set) is an invisible belt which is good. But this is great news!!!! Now all we need is to hide gloves!!

I agree that every slot should have a hide option, but hide tabard in particular would be nice.

A lot of my sets have matching belts like the paladin challenge mode set but a lot of my other sets just don't have a good belt to go with it.

The sad part is that there is already one, technically. Sandrene's Invisible Vest, a reward from a quest in the Hinterlands. With Legion there's even a mail equivalent now. All they'd have to do is flag it as "can be used for transmogrification", but they don't want to.

Tons of sets doesn't even have matching belts, half the Fireland sets for example. Oh and don't like it? Then don't use it. The game doesn't have to cater to you personaly.
