    Second Gaming PC

Hi all, long time WoW player here (7 years) and I have built my last gaming PC about 2 years ago. At the time, my only goto websites were overclockers.co.uk and ebuyer.com but seems lately, they are a bit overpriced compared to other sites such as amazon.

My scenario is I live at my girlfriend's house 3-4 times a week and looking to have a PC setup there as well. The build doesn't have to be anything special but the only thing requirement it needs is a quad-core cpu rather than dual-core.

I have looked at the build of the month but I'm sure there are potential other sites that could be better? Just haven't look recently at the best components or sites to buy from.

    Budget: £350-400 (cheaper if possible!)
    Resolution: 1920x1080
    Games / Settings Desired:
    Games
    - WoW
    - Rocket League
    - Overwatch

    Medium-Low Settings

Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)
    Country: UK
Parts that can be reused: None
Do you need an OS?: No
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?: No

If I can't go far wrong with the build of the month stuff then that's fine. Thanks in advance

    Thanks for that Thunderball!

Any reason why you would choose an Intel dual core over AMD 8 core?

Because for most games single thread performance is what matters, not the number of cores, and Intel has an overwhelming advantage in that category. To get the most out AMD you need to overclock them, which requires an aftermarket cooler which I couldnt fit in your budget. Also, even an overclocked AMD chip will be slower in most games (if you want to explore the OC option get a FX-6300 + 212 EVO instead of the FX-8300). However, AMD will be faster in office tasks due to the number of cores. This is want to have to consider here.

I've just discovered that I have a Gigabyte GTX 460 kicking about so don't think I'm in need of a gfx card off that list. Based of that, I've swapped in a i5-6500 instead of the i3-6100 so now the list looks like this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (£174.99 Amazon UK)
Motherboard: ASRock H110M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£47.72 More Computers)

Would you still recommend having a better GFX card with the i3 or having the GTX 460 with i5-6500? As I'm not playing to keep upgrading this computer that much.

I would recommend getting a better VC but honestly both will work. If you have plans to upgrade your GTX 460 in the future stick with i5.

Think a GFX card is easier to upgrade rather than an a CPU/Motherboard. All bought, thanks for your help Thunderball!
