Kinda do when there are a lot of people on this site that are dogging people like Colin Kaepernick for his protest of police violence against unarmed black people. This is the reason for the protest. There is absolutely ZERO reason for the shooting. Not only was one guy tasering him, but there was 4 officers and a chopper called in for an abandoned vehicle. It wasn't because the guy was outrunning the original officer, it was for an abandoned vehicle. Which begs the question, why did she have her gun pulled on him in the first place?
Over exposure eventually desensitizes.
While certain kinds of behavior may reinforce a feeling of belonging to a group, is it *really* productive to tell an international forum, focused on gaming, every single god damned time police in the US do something that at least appears over the top (and often proves to have been so)?
A measure of becoming desensitized is when I start hoping we can get a consolidated mega thread for something. Can we get a mega thread for "US Police ... again"?
With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.
cause in every case they try to get the Chief fired and a lot of times these movements are successful one way or another (threats).

or under exposure creates high sensitivity when it comes to things that are very natural.

Always nice to see my town in the news :-/
Just more proof our cops need vastly improved training. I agree that you shouldn't ignore what cops are telling you and should do your level best to comply, but I also think fucking shooting people should be pretty far down on the list of potential responses when a cop feels threatened.
When the National Guard has been called in to keep order, soldiers aren't blasting people left and right yet are under the same "they might have a gun and shoot me!" stresses. Why don't they? Training. Also, better oversight. If a soldier shoots someone and doesn't have a completely rock-solid reason for doing so you can bet your ass he's going to be spending quality time at Leavenworth.

What it really means is that being a small female officer isn't grounds to use lethal force just because your suspect is x3 your size. In a fight she'd be at a huge disadvantage of course but that isn't a free pass to shoot. So far it does seem like she was scared shitless and shot on accident

send her to jail and fire the other 3 for not trying to give the guy first aid.
lethal force is for when your life is being threatened. Merely disobeying is NOT life threatening... -_-
