A bunch of mobsters, populists, and military officials took over a country and then redistributed it to themselves and then proceeded to run everything into the ground appointing their cousins and political friends and sycophants into positions of management and administration, who then in turn lined their pockets while having no idea what the fuck they were doing.

Venezuela under chavez improved drastically on education, healthcare, crime. Lots of shady shit but well... your description is not entirely accurate.

I was mostly kidding. But there are whole towns in America filled with thousands of citizens and small businesses that depend on American oil and gas workers and their money for their livelihood

Also, we export goods ( including oil ) for a reason. And it isn't to help the Venezuelan government. I have no issues with America exporting oil. Especially when gas prices are currently as low as they are.
