    Class Tuning Hotfixes
The developers noted that the upcoming hotfixes aren't final and that they are monitoring discussions and discussing changes.

    Addon - World Quest Tracker
World Quest Tracker is a handy addon that makes seeing what world quests are up easier:

    • Shows all quests and rewards (including amounts) on the Broken Isles map.
    • Changes quest icons to the reward icon on individual zones.
    • Shows world quests on the flight path map, allowing you to show them all or just tracked quests.
    • Quests that are new since the last time you looked at the map are highlighted.

Patch 7.1 - Trial of Valor: Guarm
Guarm is the second boss in the Trial of Valor raid.

    • Overview - Guarm's Guardian's Breath unleashes three elements: Fire, Nature and Shadow. Guarm gains a stack of Frothing Rage for every player not hit by one of his breath attacks.

Taking damage from Guardian's Breath will result in a debuff: Fiery Phlegm, Salty Spittle or Dark Discharge. Gaining any two of these is deadly.

Periodically Guarm will become more mobile and aggressive, casting Roaring Leap andHeadlong Charge.
    • Guardian's Breath - Guarm's three heads each breath out a blast of Fire, Shadow or Frost. If too few players are affected Guarm gains a stack of Frothing Rage.
      • Frothing Rage - Increases all damage done by 5%.
      • Fiery Phlegm - Deals 2,140,000 Fire damage split evenly among enemies within a cone, and applies an aura that is deadly when combined with Dark Discharge or Salty Spittle.
      • Salty Spittle - Deals 2,140,000 Frost damage split evenly among enemies within a cone, and applies an aura that is deadly when combined with Dark Discharge or Fiery Phlegm.
      • Dark Discharge - Deals 2,140,000 Shadow damage split evenly among enemies within a cone, and applies an aura that is deadly when combined with Salty Spittle or Fiery Phlegm.
    • Multi-Headed - Guarm's extra heads make him extra deadly. All attacks made by Guarm also strike the next closest target within 8 yards. If no target is found, the primary target is struck again.
    • Flashing Fangs - Inflicts 1,070,000 Physical damage to enemies within a 25 yard cone in front of Guarm.
    • Guardian's Licks -
      • Flame Lick - Targets a random player, then inflicts 321,000 Fire damage and applies an aura that inflicts 100,000 Fire damage every 0.5 sec for 5 sec to all players within 5 yards of that player.
      • Frost Lick - Targets a random player, then stuns all players within 5 yards of that player for 6 sec.
      • Shadow Lick - Targets a random player, then inflicts all players within 5 yards with a heal absorption effect that prevents up to 1,000,000 healing received. Lasts until cancelled.
    • Volatile Foam -
      • Flaming Volatile Foam - Deals 225,000 Fire damage every 1 sec to a random enemy.
When dispelled, bounces to the nearest ally of the afflicted player.
Applies Fiery Phlegm when this effect expires.
      • Briney Volatile Foam - Deals 225,000 Frost damage every 1 sec to a random enemy.
When dispelled, bounces to the nearest ally of the afflicted player.
Applies Salty Spittle when this effect expires.
      • Shadowy Volatile Foam - Deals 225,000 Shadow damage every 1 sec.
When dispelled, bounces to the nearest ally of the afflicted player.
Applies Dark Discharge when this effect expires.
    • Roaring Leap - Knocks back all players within 25 yards of Guarm, then leaps toward the largest clump of players and deals 357,000 Physical damage and stuns all players within 12 yards.
    • Headlong Charge - Guarm leaps to the end of the arena, then charges back and forth, knocking back and dealing 1,500,000 Physical damage to all players in his path.

Asking because we have had problems in the past with incentivizing side bosses and quests. If not enough incentive, what needs to be added? (Muffinus)
usually if you have higher Ilvl tank/healer in the group I've found it hard "don't need it so not doing it want speed"
what do you think would incentivize that player? (Muffinus)

I'm down to do these but cmon don't have them come out in the middle of the week when we've done them. Tuesdays only please?
I think a better fix is to make it less painful to do the dungeon again, e.g. more rewarding. Dungeons are fun! IMO. (Muffinus)

Did you do the weekly raid quest in WOTLK? E.G. Kill the extra giant before the gunship in ICC. How would you improve on this concept? (Muffinus)

    PvP
Is there a way to find out exactly how gear works now in PvP? I'd really appreciate it good sir!
Sure! In battlegrounds, arenas and Ashran, we set everyone's stats like they are wearing 850 gear. (holinka)
We look at your average item level and for everyone 1 point above 800, we increase your stats by 0.1%. (holinka)

is Mercenary Mode meant to not be up all the time for Horde? I got it once, queued 2 BGs then the vendor disappeared
If queue times get low enough it goes away. (holinka)

    Ghostcrawler Tweets
Ghostcrawler still occasionally talks about WoW. Remember that he no longer works for or speaks for Blizzard.

Do you think Legion or the intended purpose of Legion can fix the problems that Blizzard had in WoD like content drought
I have no insider knowledge or anything. I think the biggest difference is they are saying they are no longer trying to do the expansion a year thing, so hopefully they can put all of their effort into making sure players never go too long without something new.

Even back when I was there, we tried to ship expansions faster, which sometimes meant focusing less on the current expansion in order to shift all resources to the newer one. But then when we missed our dates, it just meant players had those long droughts. I think it's great that rather than being stubborn, the team is trying a different, and very player-focused strategy. I hope it works for them. (Source)

Haha, they aren't going to nerf demon hunters after all, too many tears from people who only resubbed to play the shiney new toy they new that Blizz would make a wildly overpowered faceroll class for the first year to keep those subs rolling in

Demon hunters are massivley OP, particularly their burst AOE

Ans SPriests were incredibly strong, particularly in multidot, they are everything an afflock should be but isn't, because a hybrid class outshines them completely

Agreed. Doesn't clutter up your map, makes them just like normal quests + filtering.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

And PvP is still the same fucking melee-million-gap-closers-eternal-stun-instagib-shitfest it has been since the expansion came out.

Someone please make holinka disappear and let's rollback to something better.

Not going to get into a debate about which is better, but I prefer World Quest List myself since a single cursory glance at the list gets the job done

World Quester and Angry World Quest look nice too.

Of course they are. They're just trying to shut up the QQers by giving them hope that their FOTM will stay OP.

Ps. There are no pures and hybrids anymore. This isn't BC.

I cant understand why everyone is going on about DH being OP. They are really not... You guys been looking at rogues and monks lately? They are pushing insane numbers but nobody complains about them? I think for some reason there is a lot of hate going out to the new kid on the block. Jelousy or something :P

Really though, who cares of DH are good at AOE? They are not the best ST dps class so people need to calm down.

I like Tracker for its UI, though even after i put in the solution for the crashing, it still tends to happen.

World Quest List is by far better.

I prefer World Quests List. It's clean, simple, and does what it need to do.

I wrote out a long post on incentivizing dungeon world quests, and, after a treatise on gating and rewards, just decided that giving players a choice between a piece of gear or another reward like AP or resources would probably solve a lot of the problem. When I don't do the dungeon quests, it's because I don't want the gear because I have a better item or better stats. If there were something useful to me there, I'd be more interested in doing it.

As far as people who've already done the weekly not wanting to clear it for others, that's called selfishness. It's been present in WoW for many years, and there is no possible way to incentivize it out.

Because AoE matters too? Especially in 5 mans. Their damage is incredibly high whether it's AoE or ST. There aren't many ST boss fights in raids either.

There aren't many ST boss fights? Nythendra, Ursoc, Dragons of Nightmare, are for the most part ST. And like I said, so what if DH are good at AOE, I don't see a single complaint about Monks insane AOE damage or rogues crazy damage or their ability to gain 865 loot by pick pocketing etc etc. The fact is people like to hate the 'new guy'... Mages have always been really good dps, dont hear people crying about that?

The most important fact about DH is that they have 2 specs and just 1 dps spec, so they have to be somewhat decent at something to make someone play something that has less to play around with. Anyway, salty people are always gona be salty...

You're kidding right? Spriests are good on only two fights right now and after that they are moderately good. On something like Ursoc they'll be anywhere between 5th and 10th while Fire Mages are strong everywhere. The only reason Spreists are strong on Xavius is they can use a 10 minute cooldown twice, because of how the fight works, if that didn't work we would be slightly higher than middle of the pack.

World Quest Tracker addon causes my WoW to crash from a memory error every few hours when opening the map, so I had to uninstall it unfortunately.
