First presidential debate - September 26: Trump vs Hillary

Direct questions from Lester to Trump about his biggest blips (Tax returns, birther), but nothing from Lester about her scandals (Goldman Sachs? Benghazi?), the tiny, tiny bit about emails came from Trump himself, not Lester.

The quests about his tax returns and the birther were fucking stupid and had no business being apart of this debate.

The tax return question isn't a partisan one and 100% should have been asked so I'm glad he did. Its something every politician has done for 50 years. He is refusing to do so. So the media should do their societal duty and force him to release them.

Um...he directly asked about the emails.

No that was the question to Trump about his tax returns, Trump said he would release his when she released emails, and lester said something like "do you want to respond about the emails."

He prepared direct questions about his tax returns and the birther thing. He did not prepare direct questions about any of her scandals. Clinton Foundation, Goldmann Sachs, Benghazi, etc etc etc.

It was like a 10 second response about her emails, vs. what needed to be a 2min response about his tax returns since it was a direct question.

What we have are 2 primary choices and one is better than the other. In a democracy you vote on the options that made it to the table or don't vote, thats doesn't always mean that your preferred choices it to the table, probably because enough people were against your preferred choice.

Exactly. I totally wanted Sanders to win. But he didn't and I'll live with it. I'm still all about him and getting money out of Politics. Its going to be much better with Hillary than with Trump, period. Formers Sanders supporters need to ask themselves. Why did they support Sanders? Did they care about what he cares about? Then vote for Hillary. Was it just ego or were they just in it for the edgy free-thinker identity? Then grow up. Its an easy choice.

I cringed at all the lies Hillary threw at Trump though. Although she had some strong arguments at points. In a way, I was impressed by her political profesionnalism, but ultimately her corruption and her tarnishing campaign against Trump hit her back in the end.

So I think Trump won the debate. No, you won't change my opinion on that.

Wrong, the direct question for that segment was Trump's tax returns. Direct questions mean 2 minute replies, she rebutted what he said about the emails, which means 10 second response.

When Nixon was more transparent about something than one of the candidates is when you know they're hiding something in those returns.

What it is, I don't know, but I can not for the life of me fathom a reason that either himself or his lawyers would decide not to release them when even the IRS has said there's nothing stopping him from doing so unless there is something in there that would prove detrimental in some way.
