Frost viable now with changes?

As title. Always liked the aesthetic of frost and might switch over to mage now if frost does ok again.

Will it do enough dps for you to carry your own weight in heroic raids? Probably
Will it be on par with fire or arcane? Probably not
You will probably have a hard time getting into mythic+ groups and possibly raid groups, as people have seen frost do absolutely no damage at all

Single target damage seems pretty good at least.

I'm hoping Frost fills the two target cleave niche now with splitting ice and glacial spike buffs. ST damage seems ok on sims but it doesn't have the AoE power of ignite or the burst of combustion/AP.

While the buffs are nice, we are no where near Fire mage in terms of single target damage.

This is just plain false. Even before the buffs I had no problems getting invites.

I've had absolutely no issues getting invites to groups either. People need to stop preaching this like gospel.

Group Leaders cannot see what spec you are when you sign up for something in Group Finder. They have no idea whether you're Fire, Frost or Arcane until after you're invited and show up in the instance, or if they armory you (which we all know rarely happens).

If you are setting up the group then wouldn't you take the time to ask?
