How long it takes to clear it?
How long it takes to clear it?
There's a thread on the achievement board here, but they haven't come to consensus. They're taking the time to get 650+ clears atm instead of going for the lower end
Once you have all the chests and rep is exalted, is there still a point doing the training?
So this is how I did it just now:
900 mana army, 12 withered, with full upgrades. Skipped the room with a bunch of volatile wraiths stacked together. Killed Lapillia. Skipped most of the two-story room with a whole bunch of the crab creatures downstairs; went from the other side only, picking up any withered. Skipped the Fal'dorei boss in the long, straight room. Cleared the huge hall with webs leading up and down. Dro ambushed me there, killed him. Score right after Dro was 285, at that point with 25 withered (one casualty so far) at 74%. Headed upstairs towards the Wraithlord.
Hit 400 in the Volatile Wraithlord's room, before engaging the boss himself. Cleared the room a bit, engaged the boss with 28 withered at 76%, lost 2% average health. Score 408 after that boss. Cleared the rest of the Wraithlord's room, 30@76% now, score 451. Continued through Dro's door. Cleared the egg room (as you have to, to open the door), lost a bunch of health for being careless. Second casualty. Engaged Furog with 34@71%. Cleared the room and picked up the withered. Engaged Psillych with 42@76%, killed her, cleared the couple worms and ta-da. Done.
Started with 900 mana, 12 withered. Ended up with 42 withered at 76%, with two casualties, 517 score, enough for full rewards. Skipped a bunch, didn't necessarily do the most straightforward route. Guessing it can be done with a 650 mana start (10 withered).
The reward chest can give other stuff, such as champion equipment and of course legendary items. It gives an AP buff, the blue item from it can forge, you can get toys from it, and so on.

This is the whole point of the thread and OP. We are asking and trying to figure out whether a score of 50 and a score of 650 for example, give the exact same drop chances for toys, pets and mounts.
Because yes, if drop chance for those doesn't increase with score, and you have all the medium/large chests + exalted rep with nightfallen, there's actually no point clearing it all and getting a high score. In that case, I'd rather quit the scenario after 1 minute than after 10.
I had a bad run the other day and finished around 300, but I did get a toy in a chest, so they are possible sub 425.
It is much easier when you (a) have more withered and the upgrades and (b) you are a tank class
If you're a tank you can just agro everything yourself, and you got a whole pile of stuns and interrupts
It's eminently doable as any class but (and they can deny it all they want) it's much more a faceroll for tank classes. It's a pain in the ass for a cloth caster, at the best it takes longer as you have to do it more carefuly.
This is very important to any class that cannot tank (and offspec with just a lvl 1 Artifact is more then enough for the scenario). If you find a chest, don't send your withered away with it! Kill as many mobs as you can, and afterwards run back and get those chests.
The more withered you got, the easier it gets.
Or just be a tank, it is super easy for tanks, no skill required.
I thought it was established fact by now that 400 is required for the big chest, and that's the best you can get. In case that's what people are debating, then just get 400 as fast as you can and suicide and you're done.
Score determines the chest. The chest has a loot table. Get the big chest and you get the big chest loot table.

That's the guide you want. There's an actual good map in there and info on every room.
I still think it's very class/spec dependent on how many Withered you'll need for each section. Currently having good success with my MM hunter just by using a tank pet and nuking the crap out of everything and trying not to pull too much in one go. Once you get about 20 Withered and some upgraded, things just melt. Be sure to try and stun/interrupt/knockback though. If you have none of those, certain bosses will flatten big chunks of your army. Got nearly all the upgrades now, so my next run will probably see me complete it for the first time.
