rerolling takes far more effort this expansion, just because grinding those artifact perks back costs a good amount of time. But even now it's absolutely possible to reroll, perhaps mythic raiding won't happen if important perks are missing...but other than that you should be good. Why keep on playing a class or spec when you obviously would have more fun with something else? The longer you wait to reroll, the bigger the "drawback" gets. So just do it now, have fun and don't worry so much about the "what if".

    Thanks for a good laugh.

Not too late to reroll, obviously. Fuck, I was rerolling halfway through a raid tier, raiding on one toon still while gearing my new main up, in MoP. Never got to swap until later....

the issue with rerolling now is that your artifact level is going to be so far as hell behind the entire raid. Since the cap is miles away they are just gonig to keep pulling further and further from you.

Keep in mind Trail and it's 3 raid bosses are coming out sometime before nighthold.

That said if you absolutely cannot stand doing anything but rerolling. The sooner the better. but you're probably going to miss the rest of mythic EN for your guild

it's never to late, it's never to late.. sing with me.. but in all seriousness - It only took me 2 1/2 days to get to 110 from 100. I don't know how long it will take you to go from 1-100 though. I would recommend questing till you can get into dungeons and only spam the ones that give the most experience. Once you are higher quest some and rinse and repeat till you reach your goal.

I been playing since launch and i'm 10/11 with Suramar and nearly revered. 852 IL and have completed EN normal and all the Heroics/Mythics, and my class hall campaign. So I would say if you have the time, you got the time lol.

Why not? OP has made an absolutely moronic thread so he deserves an absolute moronic answer. The absolute stupidity of the question is just mind blowing. I mean, who is so stupid that they cannot decide whether or not to re-roll to another class?

I'm maining DK but every time I pick an alt to level because DK gets nerfed into the ground, the alt I picked is nerfed into the ground. But its never too late to reroll if you can find something you like that isn't on the hit list.
Me thinks Chromie has a whole lot of splaining to do!

Definitely not too late. Had a guildie re-roll a week or so after launch, she caught up fairly quick. Now shes one of our best geared healers.

As for the OP: If you have a strong support system in place that is willing to catch you up, then you're fine. (But you'll still be way behind on AP) If you're not really looking to progress fast into things, you're fine. If your goal is progression and you DON'T already have a good raid team or support system...well, then you're kinda screwed.
Only if you were pushing world 1sts would it be too late, even more so since you can still raid on your current main until the reroll catches up or gets close enough. Ultimately how much time they can play and the people they can do stuff with really impacts the choice. Of course any guild worth it's salt will help, even more so if they are the type of guild that will sit somebody during the 2nd week or raiding for not being ready to go. I know my guild had 2 DH switch back to their WoD mains after the changes and they still got their 7/7 heroic done this Tuesday. Those toons probably won't be doing mythic this week, but that is one week and realistically only a boss or two at most they will miss out on.

It's not a "catch up" by any means, it's just a "make you feel a little better" if you're coming into the expansion really late.
no it'll be in effect to where you will basically catch up to people who have played since day 1. you won't be on equal footing, but not as far as a gap that you are putting it.

they are ensuring that new players who didn't buy the expansion right away (or alts) can catch up to the ones who have been there from the beginning.

like i said not equal footing, but not as wide a gap as you're suggesting.

Those things rarely happen in the same group though. Unless they are new to a raid. A raid is going to help catch up a core member. Most guilds that won't do this also wont care what is brought to the group or isn't a group worth bothering with.

I'd look at it this way, we had a guy join our guild last week, he felt like he had made a very poor choise in going DH, so he rerolled a lock, we've helped him out a bit so he's 860 ilvl now that he got his third relic slot today. So appart from the artifact power he's missing he's already within a reasonable range. I mean our average is currently 862 as a guild.

Those same speed up mechanics will also be in place for the people playing since day one. The only real way it will help atls or new toons is for the one time quests with big AP pay outs, Suramar for example. If 2 people are running in a race and 1 is 2 laps up and they both get the same speed boosts the person in first will always be in first. There are many outside factors of course. One of the people in my guild has 4 raid ready toons. It is safe to say his 3rd alt is further ahead in gear and AP then a lot of peoples mains are.

It's def too late to reroll without being carried by 4 players in same armor type through mythics.

They should lock people out on making new toons or playing anything they haven't played for several hours already.
