What's the difference you ask? Easily, I am not the one who runs bursting with tears to mommy blizzard, demanding for some people to be banned because they do their stuff which I don't like. See? I am the normal human, living by one simple human rule: live and let live. Socialistic extremistic SJW pigs live by another, inhuman rule: live like we ordered you to live, or be wasted otherwise. Simple like that.
No more time wasted in WoW.. still reading this awesome forum, though

The purpose of PvP is to compete and defeat your opponent. Ganking is not pvp. grieving is not pvp.

    effect is still the same.

Your victory/success/fun comes at another players expense

do you not defeat your opponent in those?
We have faced trials and danger, threats to our world and our way of life. And yet, we persevere. We are the Horde. We will not let anything break our spirits!"

Ganking and grieving do not have "opponents". Man are people not as clever as they think they are.

In pvp, you both agree to fight each other, and one wins and one loses. Your enjoyment is derived from attempting to defeat your opponent, ostensibly. The important part here is the agreement to compete. Like people who roll on pvp servers: you are agreeing to be attacked. I am not agreeing to let a rogue or hunter grieve me by pulling elites and vanishing just because I am in Suramar.

This has gotten excessively hostile. I'm not going to go back and slap everyone but I don't see anywhere useful this can continue to go.
