Finally got my first Feral Screech today at Ak6

just got AK6 3 and half days to ak7 and still no screeches after i got the first one way back right after getting afk4. everything showing false every day except daily dreamway event. really really really starting to get annoyed by this......

So... I was delighted to finally start hearing screeches, thinking was shortly after I got AK5. Got hinterlands, and after a bit of searching found my hinterlands stone. The dump command rings true for hinterlands, good stuff. Weird thing is, the day after that, I got a duskwood screech, went excitedly through the portal, but could not find the stone anywhere. Searched for about an hour, no stone. Got confused, so ran the dump command and it returned false... So I literally got a screech and yet didn't. Was so disappointed. I've been checking the dreamway every day since, approaching a week now and no further screeches. Been back to duskwood to search a couple times. Do you think I'm bugged, or is this pretty normal? Not seen anyone report a screech but no stone yet.

This happened to me today. Got a hinterlands screech but after half an hour of searching ran the dump commands and the "hinterlands stone active" returned false

Not sure if it had anything to do with me logging in while in the dreamway perhaps?

Well finally got my second screech today, first once since getting the first right as i hit ak4, 3 days till ak7. Unfortunately lost the first credit to it being buggy so only 1 of 3 areas now. The only thing i am pretty sure of that i did differently this time is i had the blessing of malorne buff active when porting into the dreamway for the first time today. Don't know if that has anything to do with it or not but only thing i can think of for not getting any screeches in that long of a time span. Worth trying again tomorrow anyways.

Feralas yesterday, Hinterlands today. No significant character changes between the two days, no buffs on, no forms in, etc. Just did daily world quests and got maybe 3 iLevels to 843 or around there during that time.

Think it's just random once you meet the pre-req.

well. i got Ela'lothen to show up in the dreamway. can't do anything with him though.
probably not high enough artifact level on my feral daggers.

any idea what the required artifact level is to get some from him? or that still unclear?

just use /sit infront of him in cat form. (maybe feral spec). once you're AK4, have all the stones and do that you get the appearance

Do you have to go in the zone the same day you hear the screech or you can wait? In other words, Are the screeches just "unlocking" the stone for that zone or it is a timed/session event?

You have to enter and find the stone that day.

Got my first screech on my alt druid (Not the main druid yet :c) at AK3 or 4 last week. Now I'm at AK5 and have not seen any new screeches since then yet.

ok i went back to read and then realized now the dump was that / dump I thought there was a different way to check if it was true for some reason and it wasnt that way

Been following the progress and all posts, here's something I noticed on how to tell if there's a screech waiting for you today:

The first script that was posted by Eather always return false after the daily reset if you're meant to get a screech that day. I'm usually out in the world around reset time and then I run:

/dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326)

If this is false then head to the dreamway and you'll get a screech right away. After you get the screech it will change to true and you won't hear it again.

If, at the beginning of the day, the script returns true then that means that no matter how many times you go to the dreamway, you won't get a screech that day.

I believe this first Flag is used by Blizzard to track if you've received a screech that day, if they don't want you to receive one that day they just switch it to true, but if they want you to get a screech they set it to false after the reset.

Like I said, I usually log on after the reset and I specifically log out outside the dreamway to test this theory, so far it's worked 100% of the times and I got about 6 screeches before the bug fix and just 2 since then, it has worked for me. Please if you got the patience help and test this theory to see if we can confirm it as a safe way to predict the screeches (after reaching AK4)

Anyway, if what Nivram described is how screeches work. Maybe they also messed up there, instead of having the flag reset daily, it may be kept fixed (i.e. the intended state for the other quest trackers)?

It should be the way Nivram described. My brother's event roll was false prior to entering the dreamway, he got a screech (and within 5 days now unlocked his hidden appereance ...)

Thinkin a bit more about it, the tracker should probably reset to false daily, and turn true after first time entering the dreamway, if it's indeed used to track the roll. It never should be true prior to entering the dreamway for a day.

Just a question, for those recieving screeches, do you usually log out inside the dreamgrove, or somewhere else?

I don't think it's frozen. I think it's just RNG. I have had the script go true/false several times (mostly before the bug was fixed) and just yesterday I had a screech (that I knew was happening because the script returned false that day).

Maybe I'm not explaining it right but it's basically:

If they did it that way, why would they roll the screech occuring, and the active zone separately though? The first upon login, the other upon entering the dreamway (if the login roll was positive). That is, why is the stone not simultaneously activated, if the screech is already sure to happen?

You're right on both instances. I could be wrong, but still trying to find the pattern so we can help make a guide!

It was just a theory, from my experience, every time I get a False on that script and I head to the dreamway, I end up with a screech instantly.

Also from my experience, every time I get a true on that script after logging in for the first time after the daily reset (without even being in the dreamway that day), I just won't see a screech that day.

I don't know why it wouldn't make sense to trigger a roll for every druid upon log-in, surely this is done with other features, maybe with garrison missions? It could be a process attached to that.

The reset is due in over 2 hours, I'll test it yet again, like I said, I noticed this weeks ago but the bug that set the other 6 scripts to false threw me off when I tried to find patterns, and the behaviour has been consistent since the fix was applied. Others can test and prove me wrong

But couldn't it also be:
