First off a lot of people might quest in one spec but want the AP in another. Secondly and most importantly if you are doing world quests for AP and use them right away other world quests that were showing AP as a reward can and do change rewards. Tested this out Tuesday night in my guild some of us saved up the AP as we did world quests some spent them right away and ones that were AP changed rewards on those that spent it right away and a group of us were doing them together.
So now I save all my AP until I am done doing world quests

A Blue on EU forums said that using AK items causes worlds quests to reroll, but nothing about AP. Wouldn't make much sense, either.

Some items have no GCD, others do. You cannot use them all in one action.

Besides, the point of the individual items is to make sure you have the right artifact equipped when spending them. Otherwise it would be in a Currency pool for you to dish out as needed.

Now THAT would have been a really nice system.

Use the bag sorting feature if you don't have bag addons

I have bag 1 for my HS and assorted permanent items like Ancient Mana Diviner and Grapple Gun and such, then bag 3 is Equipment, 4 is Consumables and 5 is Trade goods. Handy bonus is that it then forces all junk into bag 2.

Makes it super easy to sort and find everything. I finish WQs, open bag 4 and all my AP items are stacked next to each other

I never had that issue. I pushed up one item, and never bothered with the other two. I guess I am one of the rare folks who just play one spec.

I was unaware both of us seeing a bag full of AP was construed as different perception. Perhaps I am using a satchel instead? The Satchel of No Worries.

I wouldn't call it an issue per se, but for healers it's not necessarily uncommon to not use them as you loot them. At first you'll be more efficient as a DPS than you'll be as a healer, so it's faster to do all the world quests with your off-spec and switch back to your main spec when you're ready to use all your AP items.

Eventually you invest enough into the healer artifact that the bonus damage you get from every trait makes it more efficient, so you no longer need to switch. My 895 Silver hand with 26 traits does way, way more damage than my 870 Ashbringer with 13 traits, but it did take a little bit of time to get there. Having a way to use up all the AP items at once would have been practical. Not necessary by any means, but convenient.
