This is not new and has been going on since the Amani Warbear runs back in BC

This has been the case since vanilla and is not allowed. So you can report it, if you see it.

Nothing new, but should be reported as it isn't permitted.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

this has been going on since at least Wrath of the lichking

its the answer to casuals wanting EVERYTHING but not having to actually work for it ingame, so they just out right buy it for real money.

As others have said, not new at all.

Eh? I'd say you are hardcore if you want something enough to spend real money on it in a Virtual world.

Sadly the business usually goes down on 3rd party websites and is pretty hard for Blizzard to track. If some dumbass is spamming trade then sure they will just get banned. Totally against TOS.

Honestly, I don't care much. If someone really wants to spend money to get the whole content done for him, well, not my problem. It won't affect anyone besides the one who bought the run.

I personally would refuse to do raids / mythic+ dungeons with said people, as they obviously are mentally not able to play on an appropriate level.

It's impossible to track/prove if people are not stupid about it.

Why are you blaming casuals when the mythic raiders are offering the service? Casuals couldn't do it if the Mythic Raider didn't offer it as a service. Or is it 'Blame casuals for everything' time? If the Mythic raider wasn't offering it there wouldn't be any casuals in there doing it. Perhaps you need to place blame where it belongs instead of blaming everything on casuals, when you put that sauce on every fucking thing it becomes hard to take you seriously when you actually have a point about casuals because we hear that shit all the time.
But that would mean blaming people you identify with. It is like blaming casuals for caches with mythic gear in it because "Bliz may as well mail you your purple epics" when they have to kill 21 independent heroic raid bosses to get that and yet Mythic Raiders continue to sell BOP mythic gear on the auction house for gold which literally gets mailed to your mailbox. It is okay so long as you personally can profit but if there is another way that requires doing something besides handing you gold then "Oh Hell No!"

Unfortunately there isn't much to report, anyone of these people who sell boots for real money and who are smarter than their shoe never mention real money in their advertisements or over other in-game communications and only talk about price/details over skype/discord/whatever. So because of that there's very little actual proof for Blizzard to ban them.

Oh my god they just started doing this? That's crazy!

This shit has been going on as far back as I can remember brother.
It is against the ToS and people do get banned for it though.

You think boosters are always guilds who plan ahead? No they trade gold with real money.

Just look the booster websites up, some even mention their "partners" (guilds and well known people/streamer)

After reading all the prior posts it seems this is relatively new and hasn't been happening for an extended period of time.

Nice try, but logic has no place on mmo-c. Casuals are filthy immigrants and should all be shot into the sun. All casuals should be removed from the game so the couple of hundred of us elite and most important people on the planet can have our game untainted.

    /sarcasm off

It's the age old buyers vs sellers blaming that has been going on since forever over the drug market and the truth is that both sides are to blame for it.

...are you serious? Because these people don't break the ToS/EULA in any way, they're quite careful about it. They just advertise that they're selling a run, then if you ask for an invite, they direct you to non-WoW related stuff ("let's chat on Skype") and that's where/when they tell you it's for real money.

Blizzard can't and won't do anything about it. I could show you at least 30 websites that sell mythic runs (and rare mounts and pvp achievements and anything else, really). I've reported two guys selling these things in trade chat back in WoD (they were selling CM gold for real money back then). No response from Blizzard. They're still in trade chat, still selling stuff (just not CM gold). The exact same characters, too, same websites, same M.O.

On my realm, 3/4 +10 runs advertised are for sale.

"report it to blizzard" - lol. Might as well report it to your cat - in fact, the cat might do something about it.

This is reprehensible. If anyone is going to do a microtransaction for an item it better be Blizzard God Dammit.
