Tikki tikki tembo, Usagi no Yojimbo, chari bari ruchi pip peri pembo!
Got it today. No idea why. Two other friends who watched the exact same amount of time haven't gotten theirs yet.
Got it 2 hours ago.
A bit funny but meh.
What does it even mean to be a "Patron of War"?
Patron:
1.a person who gives financial or other support to a person, organization, cause, or activity:
"Charles became a patron of Rubens and van Dyck"
2.a customer, especially a regular one, of a store, restaurant, or theater:
"we surveyed the plushness of the hotel and its sleek, well-dressed patrons"
So this prestigious title means you like watching other people fight? Or maybe you pay them to fight? Why would anyone want this title?
"I Am Vengeance. I Am The Night. I Am Felfáádaern!"
So, first of all, as I've said before and edited my post, I did, fortunately, already get the achievement and title. That, however, happened after I had already contacted Twitch support about this issue. So, Twitch got back to me and this is what they responded with:
I mean, it is, obviously, an abject falsehood that Twitch is "not involved" with the distribution of the titles, because said distribution relies on the connection of Battle.net to Twitch to be working on Twitch's side, so contacting them about this issue of not getting the title, one would assume that they'd at least check the connection between the accounts and reply telling me that the connection is established and working, instead of coming out with a lie like this. However, I understand; they're washing their hands of this, and, the support staff there, whom I contacted, have probably been instructed not to escalate these support requests to people who actually know what they're doing - support tickets are typically escalated and forwarded to experts who have the proper knowledge to handle them.
I just find it hilarious that the support request got stuck on the first "shitlayer" of support and bounced back with a "hey it's none of our problem, piss off" -reply, especially when it is, as I pointed out, completely false.
So, basically, Twitch says they've got nothing to do with this (other than, obviously, the part where you have to connect to Battle.net through Twitch but hey whatever), and Blizzard's support system states that their support staff can't help you with the title issue. I hope all the rest of you who haven't yet gotten the title and achievement do get it in time, because it seems if you don't, you're SoL.
According to Blizzard, Twitch gave them a list of eligible accounts.
And that is what blizzard are basing the eligibility on.
Personally I think with that linking blizzard should have been able to pull that information themselves, otherwise what is the point of linking and granting blizzard that information.
They should absolutely extend this to blizzcon as well.
As well as extending the eligibility period for watching replays, if it has actually ended.
Curiously enough, I wasn't getting it on any of the chars on my main realm at all, but as soon as I logged into an old alt on another realm it immediately popped.
I wonder how many people didn't know about it until it was over, then got mad and made tickets/threads saying they watched it even though they missed out.
A lot of people seem to be mad because they don't have the title (not the people who genuinely should of gotten it, but the people who act like they are RankJuan, or 'say' they have high end titles - but have no proof to back it up lol).
The thread is intended for people who wanted it/watched the stream and didn't get the title, not for wannabe elitists acting hard on mmo-c.com lol
What was funny was watching them trying to act like real sports announcers...or something...in those cheap suits that looked like they came from Wal-Mart and their sisters tied their neckties for them. lol
All you heard was "I feel like.." this or "I feel like.." that -- I feel like I feel like I feel like....
We don't wanna hear your FEELS, derp! Try talking some actual facts next time.
My response from Twitch: "Sorry but Twitch was not involved with the distribution of the Blizzard titles for this promotion."
???
So if Blizzard can't help me, and Twitch can't help me, am I just out of luck?
No surrender! 70 Vanguard - The Star Forge
What is the point of displaying any title other than "Gladiator" or "Hero of the Alliance"? I do not understand.
