Possessed Illidan (by Sargeras) as final boss. We will redeem him and then take the fight to the Twisting Nether. Queue Argus expansion.

Tomorrow hasn't been confirmed yet. So we should just assume tomorrow is not coming and stop making plans for the future days...
The big building there was OF COOOUUUUURSE going to be a raiding zone. It was the most obvious thing on the planet and confirming it now doesn't change anything. I'll only be surprised if they had confirmed that it wasn't going to be the final raid of the expansion. THEN you'd have my attention. What could come after the tomb I wonder...

That's because when you kill a demon (or Sarg-lips) their souls are sent back to the Twisting Nether. Going there and killing them like OP proposed WILL permanently kill the demon/Sargface.

Those beings are so far ahead that they really don't even think of us at all. It would be like a human worrying about a gnat (the gnat being all of Azeroth). Doubt we'll ever get to fight them. They are there mostly to give purpose to Sargeras'/Titan's lore.

Sargeras is basically House. He sees a hand with a wound, where dangerous bacteria (void lords) are doing their best to get into the body, procreate, and kill the person. While his sidekicks are desperately checking for lupus and trying pennicilin, Sargerhouse says "Fuck it, we need to save the patient", and takes out a giant bonesaw, with the intention of cutting out the hand. After Cutty restrains him, and discovers that he was right all along, the infection has spread and now can also spread to other people via magical flying spores. So now Sargerhouse says the best solution is to lock the hospital and burn it down, making sure all the spores burn inside as well.
Basically, Sargeras is burning down the universe because he doesnt want it to be corrupted by Void Lords, and he sees no other way that would stop them. Technically, he's not a baddie - he's just a chaotic good. Its just we happen to be the patients with the spores, locked inside the burning hospital, instead of the policemen trying to catch House outside. Which is why we're somewhat biased towards his methods.
tl'dr - sargeras isnt bad, he just doesnt see any other way. Void Lords are the ultimate baddies of WoW universe,
We dream, we dream.
Is the surgeon bad for amputating an arm of a patient to save his life, even if patient is crying for the doctor not to do it? In the grand grand grand scheme of things, all life can begin again. But if Void Lords have their way, there will be no future. Ever.
He chose the most drastic (and most "Likely to work") way. We just dont happen to agree with it.
Also, two addendums.
1. Burning Legion =/= sargeras. Demons serve him because they get to kill stuff, and because they have no choice. But just because a dreadlord loves eating elvish children for breakfast, doesn't mean Sargeras' mindset is about random chaotic evil.
2. Sargeras STARTED burning legion with the purpose of cleansing cosmos for the greater good. That doesn't necessarily mean that his mindset hasn't changed since. It is possible that he is now just the same bloodthirsty maniac as his goons, but we do not know that.

We dream, we dream.
Again, Sargeras can literally slice a planet in two with his big sword. I doubt us mortal players will ever even touch him let alone fight the Gods that this God fears.
I just don't see it happening. Even if all of Azeroth fights, it'll amount to nothing more than a tickle to the Void Lords. I doubt the devs could find a way for us to fight them without having to bring them down several orders of magnitude (ala Sargeras not being able to port himself to Azeroth so he sends an Avatar which is 1000000X weaker and something we can fight off).
