News about map editor. Last we heard is from year ago in movie about Eternal Conflict event.

I'd love Overwatch themed maps as well as some stricte Warcraft BGs, like Arathi Basin, WSG, and so.

I'm expecting Malthael, but I'm really not sure what else beyond heroes. That they released all this Brawl stuff so close to Blizzcon has me hoping that they've got an ace up their sleeves, but we'll see.

My predictions mostly based on datamined leaks and forum posts.

And yes, I am hyped, because it's likely that there's more to be revealed at Blizzcon.

Heroes: Varian, Aidan, Malthael. (Varian and Mathael have files datamined; Aidan was just mentioned by 4chan guy and Diablo 20th anniversary is coming). D.Va is a possibility since some SC2 awards were announced that featured voicelines and stuff. (Edit: Thanks @DesoPL for reminding me of the Kerrigan/D.Va voice interaction) (Although I suspect that she will be part of an OW even next year). The only other recent datamine was for a firebat hero. There was also datamined text that mentioned a reaper hero but the main speculation is that it's Malthael (Reaper of souls)

Maps: New Brawl map: Blackheart's Revenge (Asymmetric (attacker/defender) objective based brawl; Attackers load canons on a ship to destroy enemy core, Defenders destroy the ship). Reworked Haunted Mines (already planned for 2017 release)

Skins: Astronaut Cho'Gall (concept art has been out and string was data mined), New skins for any of TLV, Lunara, Kharazim and Greymane, Mechalord Gazlowe with Gyrocopter mount

Other updates: More details on 2017 league; UI changes; Progress/rewards beyond hero level 20. More improvements to MVP algorithm and screen. Maybe commendations in character profiles.

Hero Changes: Artanis could get a huge rework which might allow him to use phase prism during blade dash to cancel it (this was seen in the current ptr but pulled because Blizzcon 2016 was near). Possible Murky and Malfurion reworks. I am forgetting a few more changes that the devs were considering. There is one change which was hinted that would affect cho'gall but it was supposed to be more of a systems change and forumers speculate it is tied to XP changes.

I think with the recent vocal success of Overwatch's PvE focused brawl we may see some work toward PvE style modes in HotS. Pie in the sky dreaming: a tie in with Rock 'n' Roll Racing with a racing minigame.

I think you're right here. Some people like me for example wait for PvE game mode. I would like it.

I wonder if they'll announce some crazy hero again. We just got the SC event and brawl, so there has to be a pretty big/unique thing getting announced there aswell, otherwise they would have probably saved the brawl announcement for BC.

At the very least I guess we'll see some S3 and Varian stuff? Maybe a look at the new Haunted Mines aswell. No idea what other heroes to expect though. Maybe Kel'thu-freaking-zad?

It was found in Samuro patch, as well with Kerrigan/D'Va interaction.

He says exactly the same line and with same manner during encounter in Diablo 3. In Lore, Malthael is phased out in realm of Death (or something), so you as a Nehpalem became one with Death in order to fight him. That's why he is saying "Death is beyond your reach.". I am just saying it is not that hard to extract a line from some game and create a dialogue with other character.

Well, Malthael could very well be intended eventually. That voice line could be something they used internally as a placeholder to see how he functions and he's nowhere near even to be teased. Much like Samuro was a year or so ago.

I'm sure Malthael is coming, he's the villain to a D3 expansion after all, but I wouldn't say soon.

I want Lei Shen the most anyways.
