Ever since Duterte took power, violent police crackdowns have become the norm of the day.

What is funny is that some people seem to live under the illusion that THEY won't find themselves on the receiving end eventually. It's a slippery slope the road the Philippines set themselves on, and when other people point that out, they get all butthurt about it.

Tho I don't see what 'Murica has to do with the shitfest in Philippines?

Duterte would've been our man back in the Cold War days, meaning we would've supported him. Duterte is killing communists down in those islands to the South.

But their actions in this event are not because of Duterte. Duterte wants American soldiers out, and so do the protesters. From a Pinoy, about the cops:
"It's not that they're defending Americans. They're just releasing pent-up frustration against protesters. The police and military have their own culture that persist independent of administrations. Longstanding conflict with lefties and muslims just don't go away instantly just because the president wants it to. These biases have been instilled since the academy days."

Nobody wants them there. They voted against their presence, troops decided to come like dogs they are. Even president is against their presence.
But I'd say this is pretty standard. There's a lot of countries protesting against their presence, yet they still occupy them. Democracy fuck yeah!

    More like occupation.

Bahrain is even worse...the US naval base (5th fleet) is there illegally, the country is ruled n occupied by Saudi Arabia. All political parties are banned, n this summer they deported the main shia cleric from his own country, this done by foreigners who stole his country..(country is 80% Shia). Saudis want US close but not on Sunni land so it's handy to stomp some shia country nearby cuz they don't have to care about their feelings..

Parts of the crowd went violent and broke through barricades so measures had to be taken.
Commies here tend to forget about the protection of diplomatic stations.
As for the van event ppl where pounding them to bits, too bad people got injured.
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

Nice comeback. You are the one totally ignoring the protesters turned violent and attacked the police.
Wonder why you did not post a newsoutlet report but just a short video clip Che.

Oh right, Ukraine had it completely different: police turned violent and attacked protesters.
All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

    Wait what Ukraine?
Here I thought it was about the Philippines and not posting the whole story (in fact just 54s video clip).
Sorry for stepping on some youth commie toes.

Man, if the Black lives Matter Riots were any level more entertaining that those Kiev ones I'd actually support them.
