I don't buy it... they said the same thing before Goldwater... he didn't win, but there would be no Reagan, without Goldwater. GOP needs to return to its roots. Get behind Rand Paul or Rubio, without any in fighting. Make them by putting them front and center, but instead of being abstractionist, make clear and concise display of compromise.
Don't ignore Hillary or Obama, when they go low, you go high. There is no getting lower for GOP... but, you know what... the higher they rise, the more impressive it will be... simply due to the distance traveled... this is not the end, this is the beginning...

There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." - Isaac Asimov
I really wish there had been a question about what Hillary said about having a public policy position and a private (aka her real) position.
That statement pretty much exemplifies her entire political career.
Her self described "mentor" Robert Byrd was a man who used the KKK to "launch his political career" that was filled with golden nuggets like a 14 hour filibuster of the Civil Rights Act.
Once it was obvious to him that his side of real racists had lost he of course publicly stated that he was "embarrassed" by his past. Somehow he stayed in the Senate despite his radical change in philosophy to continue to represent the great state of West Virginia.
When he died Hillary Clinton felt it necessary to produce a video eulogizing him calling him a "friend and mentor".
I believe her. Robert Byrd died a racist who said one thing publicly but held his true beliefs privately. Saying whatever necessary to keep his influence and power.
Hillary learned from the best:
i'm wondering how many more election cycles need to pass before they get ittoo many minorities make a city fail
hm i wonder why most non-whites don't vote republican
in any case, Trump failed to accomplish anything in the debate. well, aside from making himself look worse. he didn't help his cause.
I didn't think I could possibly hate Trump any more than I already did, but the bastard found a way!
Just when you think he couldn't POSSIBLY go any lower, he finds a way! He was actually arrogant and stupid enough to declare on live TV that he wouldn't commit to accepting the results of the election!
I can only hope that moment is the moment from the debate where the Trump campaign was finally shot and buried in the history books.
Refusing to accept the results of the election is just horrid. Even with all the shenanigans in Florida and the fact that he got more votes, Al Gore still conceded the 2000 election.
Trump has no class and no honor.

Problem with example: Trying to paint BLM as a unified group with a single goal of bringing down whitey. When without leadership it's too many groups many of which are simply put pissed off with cops being gung ho over people who have darker skin and the cultural mistrust towards them that certain areas still have. Problem is without the central leadership anyone can just put BLM next to their name even the more extreme groups.
It's like back in the day anyone could be anonymous.
