When it comes to MMOs I'm a socialist but I would never ever feel entitled to another person's loot in LFR.

Actually, I think I have the perfect plan.
Since I havent leveled my enchanter yet, I think I will trot him on up to level 110, get him LFR ready, and then just never equip anything higher then around item level 820. Then I can just run LFR non stop and demand everybody give me all the loot they apparently should be morally obligated to hand over, and then I will just wait till the end of the raid and DE it all. Rinse, repeat, and I will be positively swimming in all those enchanting mats.
I mean, I did my part, I helped kill the boss. So I deserve all that shit, right?
Blizzard expects nothing. Blizzard gave us the option to trade personal loot so that if someone wanted to, they could give away a piece they didn't have a use for. Other players decided to turn it into the "hold you ransom for your loot" entitlement shitshow we are currently seeing all on their own.
Didn't the forum fall for this schtick a week or so ago? Oh well.
But LFR is just there to let the "extreme casuals" to see the raid, not to gear them, they can do mythics 30 mins per day and 2 weeks they must be 845+ faster than doing LFR to get a 835.
Maybe in Nighthold the thing could change because of the tiers, but atm If i´m enchanter and I get loot I´m definetly DE it. Because IT´S MY PERSONAL LOOT then blizzard should give items just to the people who needs it and that´s it.
Why would you run lfr if you don't need that damn loot?? It takes ages to down bosses with all those casuals and 50k dps mages. There are thousand better options to make gold than running lfr. xD
And so far i had not once a guy who didn't trade an item for me, but reading all this "I DE MY PERSO LOOT BECAUSE BLIZZARD ALLOWS ME" bs, i would just votekick you, since most player think the same way, lol.
lol people acting like they deserve other people's loot?
Guess what guys, in the real world not everyone helps the poor. This is similar to this situation. I'm guessing the majority of the people who say "bro wtf don't disenchant it, give it to them!" don't even help the needy. Similar situation.
If anyone with that addon ever asks me for loot, not happening. If no one offers you loot, just shut up and move on. No one owes you anything.
I only run LFR for the augment runes, there was never a time when I needed gear from it
I am an enchanter
I give away any loot I get, because I'd rather give someone an upgrade than have the ~500g I'd get from selling another shard.
like, iunno man, you have to be a supremely selfish person (i.e.: asshole) to prefer DEing something for some paltry amount of meaningless gold, rather than give it to someone who'll actually use it
It is MY loot. Not yours. Mine. If you magically think that you are in any way entitled to it because you simply happened to be in the same raid as me, you can get stuffed. You got your payout. No way in hell I am giving you mine for free.

and then replace it in a couple of hours with a better drop from a world quest, and proceed to vendor it for a paltry amount of meaningless gold.
WTF is your point.
If is by far more selfish to DEMAND someone else give you something that is theirs, just because you want it, then it is to keep something that is yours because it is yours.
Nobody is EVER entitled to another persons personal loot. period. Or are you going to start dividing up all the gold you get from difficult world quests and handing it out to everybody who tagged the boss too?
mine mine mine mine miiiiiiiine, who cares if I don't need it it's miiiiiiiiiiiine
this is the attitude of a five year old
like ffs man, it costs you nothing. Be nice to somebody for no reason for once
It's personal loot. You can do whatever you want with it. Because it's personal. If you ask the raid if anyone needs the item you got and then go 'lol too bad I de'd it' then you're an asshole. If someone else gets a piece of gear and you say 'give that to me' then you're an asshole. I would and have given away items I didn't need to someone who asked politely, but most people are greedy shits so it shouldn't be hard to understand why someone may not necessarily give a fuck. I've never felt compelled to ask for anyone else's loot in a run with randoms but that's just me. But if you want to keep it for whatever the reason, even if it's not the nicest thing to do, it's not wrong either.

I mean sure if you want to end up looking like a really nasty piece of work and progressively pariah yourself (word spreads after all) yeah go ahead and disenchant loot someone else can get a better use out of because you need to fund your vanity spider mount. All freedom to you and stuff, but people are also free to dislike you with a seething passion.
And what makes you think that I don't need it? Just because I am not going to equip it does not mean I might not need it.
- Maybe I am broke from repairing repeatedly because I am trying to carry a scrub raid through LFR and they keep wiping, so i need to vendor it to repair my shit.
- Maybe I am an enchanter and I need that crystal to try to scrape out another point in my crafting skill to 800.
- Maybe this is my enchanting alt, and I need that crystal to make an enchant for my main. I sure as hell ain't paying 5k for one on the AH when I can get them for free from LFR.
- Maybe I need the gold I would get from vendoring that item to buy stupidly expensive flasks so I can actually try to get into a real raid and get significantly better gear.
- Maybe I need the item because it has a Transmog Appearance I don't have and trading it to some entitled asshat who just demanded i give it to him would cause me to lose that transmog appearance.
There are literally dozens of reasons I can think of as to why I, or anyone else, would want to keep something THAT IS THEIRS, that they don't intend to equip. And every single one of them is more valid then someone elses sense of entitlement to a few extra ilevel.
No, the attitude of a five year old is to watch Billy unwrap a brand new Toy, and immediately demand Billy give it to them, because Billy already has better toys and they want that one.....this is the attitude of a five year old

I see you didn't get loot on that boss. That means you got gold. I need gold. Want to give me some of that gold you just got? BTW, I'm not giving you squat in return, but you get to keep the nice warm fuzzy feeling you get from knowing that you helped me pay for my next flask / world drop / crafted piece / insert any other character improving thing here.
Do you see how UTTERLY LUDICROUS this statement is? Now please. By all means. Explain to me how this is any different the asking someone else for their loot?
If you think IRL is anything but that, then you're sadly mistaken. Every "charity" is a profitable organization. Every act of kindness is done with the intent of either receiving something in turn, or to "prove to the invisible man in the sky that we're worthy".
Call me cynical, but that's just what it looks like from here.
i do the same in LFR ppl in there are so braindead they will hand over plate/mail/leather to a warlock when i /w them "pls mate its an upgrade for me " then ill proceed to DE right in front of them.
lol
